ADOPTED CATS 2021

"Chantelle" came to us from the Grand Falls area on September 25, 2021.  She needed medical care that no one else was able to provide, so she came to us.  She is a beautiful calico little girl who definitely needed medical assistance.  Thanks to her favourite new vet tech for coming in to check her out on a very wet and rainy Sunday afternoon to provide professional care and assistance to make sure she'd be okay for the night.  She was born about September 16, 2018.

Her nails were very long, she was dehydrated and was hungry.  She was very grateful for a warm, dry, safe bed.  As of October 20, 2021, she is doing well, is spayed and has begun her vaccine protocol.  She's ready for a home as of the middle of November and is anxious to have a warm, safe home with a family to love and to love her.

On November 13, 2021, Chantelle went to stay with our friends at at The Purrfect Cup.  Please come meet them there - this place is fantastic!  Best Cat Cafe EVER!!

On December 10, 2021, we were happy to learn that she would joing the family of a very nice lady from Fredricton where she will be spoiled and live the wonderful life she so truly deserves.  Congratulations, Chantelle!  Please send lots of photos - we'll miss you!

"Vida" returned to DunRoamin' on October 21, 2021.  She had originally come to us on January 14, 2021 from a colony of 62 that was growing unchecked.  She was born about January 14, 2020 and had ear mites and a minor case of upper respiratory infection.  She was treated for these, spayed, tested for FIV and FeLV, fully vaccinated and adopted to a home in Rusagonis on February 13, 2021.  Unfortunately, she began urinating inappropriately, so she came back to us so that her vet friends at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic could help her

Vida has been doing well since her return.  She has settled in quietly and has displayed no inappropriate urination.  She is sweet, quiet and loving.  We hope this beautiful orange tabby can join a new family very soon.

On November 19, 2021, Vida went to stay with her friends at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton.  Please drop in, have a coffee and meet some beautiful cats.  Shona and her staff are amazing - you'll love them!!

On December 10, 2021, Vida was adopted by a young couple from Fredericton.  She will now live happily ever after in a home where she will be treasured - she's a beautiful little girl!  Congratulations, Vida!  Write soon!

"Lillith" came to DunRoamin' on October 20, 2021 from Woodstock where her owner could not care for her.  She was born about October 19, 2013 and had several medical issues such as a large number of fleas and ear mites which made her very uncomfortable.  She had flea allergy dermatitis which is an allergic reaction to fleas which had caused her to remove some hair with her scratching, which then became infected.  She had never been spayed.  She is now spayed, vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all her medical concerns, so she's 100% healthy and ready for a new home.  When adopted, her new family should keep an eye out to ensure she does not have any chance of getting fleas again, to which she is allergic.  She will require ongoing flea medication to ensure she stays healthy.

Lillith is a very sweet, quiet and unassuming little girl.  Medications soon made her feel better already.  She loves interaction with both humans and other cats and is a cuddly, affectionate little girl.  She hopes for a new home soon.

On November 27, 2021, Lillith went to spend some time with her friends at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton.  Please drop in, have a coffee and meet some beautiful cats.  Shona and her staff are amazing - you'll love them!!

On December 10, 2021, Lillith was adopted by a young couple from Fredericton who will give her the best life ever!  You have it made now, Lillith - have a great life!  Please write soon!

"Janis" and her two kittens, Loggins and Messina came to us on August 9, 2021 from Centreville where Janis had had her two kittens, but Messina was not doing well at all and needed immediate and intensive medical care which their owners could not provide.  Thanks to the medical skills of the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic and her foster mother, Messina was able to thrive.  Janis is doing well and is a beautiful little quiet cat who loves people and other cats.  She is very nice and loves to have lots of company.  Janis was born about August 9, 2020.  On November 19, 2021, she went to stay with her friends at The Purrfect Cup where she enjoyed herself immensely!  Come check out this cafe - it's fabulous!!

On December 10, 2021, Janis was so very happy to learn that she had been invited to join a family in Upper Kingsclear where she will be the new best friend of a young lady who took the day off school to come take her home and ensure she was comfortable on her first day in her new home.  Congratulations, Janis!  Send lots of photos!!

"Toggle" came to us on October 7, 2021 from Greenfield where he was a homeless little boy who had an injured right front leg.  He was born about October 7, 2020.  He was placed on antibiotics to help his wounds heal and is now fine.

Toggle is a sweet little boy who loves people and affection.  He's hoping for a home and he can't wait!  Toggle is a very active cat who needs lots of attention and exercise.  He's a sweetheart!  He is very curious and loves people.  His favourite toy is a little white mouse which he carries around, throws in the air and loves to have with him at all times!

On November 28, 2021, Toggle was adopted by a young lady from Fredericton.  He will now be a new friend for her cat, Luna, who can't wait to have a new friend.  Congratulations to everyone!  Be good, Toggle!

"Colette" and her two sons, Chapman and Came, came to us on September 27, 2021.  She was very thin, dehydrated and had waaaaay too many fleas and ear mites which caused her a great deal of discomfort.  Her kittens were too old to still be nursing, but that was the best (and maybe the only) way for them to get adequate nutrition.

Colette is a very nice little girl who was born about September 27, 2020, so she was not much more than a kitten herself.  She is a fine mother and is very friendly and accepting of her human servants.  She needed to put on a little weight, be spayed, tested for FIV and FeLV and get her vaccines.  Then she's hoping for a nice, warm, comfortable and loving home very soon.  On September 27, 2021, they went to be fostered with their friend in Woodstock where they fell in love with a cat-loving canine - thanks for having them!

On November 6, 2021, they went to visit their friends at The Purrfect Cup.  Please come meet them there - this place is fantastic!  Best Cat Cafe EVER!!

On November 27, 2021, Colette was so happy to learn that she had been chosen to join the family of a young lady from Rusagonis who has been a friend of DunRoamin' for quite some time.  You are a lucky little girl, Colette!  Congratulations - don't forget to send lots of photos!!

"Penny" returned to us on October 15, 2021, from the Centerville area.  We were sad to learn that her 95-year old adopter of 11 years had passed away, but are grateful that they had loved each other and had such a wonderfully-beneficial relationship for such a long time.  Penny was born about October 1, 2009 and had been adopted in 2010 and had lived happily with her favourite person for so many wonderful years.  We will do our very best to find her another human to love and care for.

Penny is all up to date with her vaccines, spayed and she tested negative for FIV and FeLV.  She hopes to join a family soon - she misses that one-on-one, close, loving relationship.  She is a beautiful long-haired tortie girl who would love to have a nice warm lap to enjoy for the upcoming winter months, especially!

On November 13, 2021, Penny went to stay with our friends at The Purrfect Cup where she enjoyed being spoiled and meeting so many nice people.  Please come visit her there - this place is fantastic!  Best Cat Cafe EVER!!

On November 27, 2021, Penny was very happy to learn that she had been chosen as the newest family member of a young lady who had another senior cat who was lonely and missing feline companionship.  Thank you for choosing Penny and giving her a loving home.  Please write often, Penny!

Meet "Shade" and "Shine," sisters who came to us from the Centreville area on August 19, 2021.  They had been found alone on a farm path and no mother or siblings were located, despite an intensive search.  They needed help.

Shade and Shine were examined by their new vet friend and determined to have been born about July 15, 2021.  Both were very tiny for their age (underweight) and had upper respiratory infection and ear mites, none of which are conducive to the health of tiny kittens, especially ones with no mother to care for them.

These little ones needed to put on some weight and become healthy.  Eventually, they were healthy enough to be fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV, spayed and ready to go to loving homes.  They are social, loving and seek attention, so they definitely cuddle kittens!  Shade and Shine are identical black kittens.  These little sisters are practically indistinguishable - the only way we can tell them apart is by their weights - Shade was 40 grams larger than her sister on arrival, but that is not significant.  At five weeks of age, they should have easily weighed 500 grams, and the largest, Shade, was only 324 grams.  But thanks to caring people, they were placed in a foster home as of August 21 where they were spoiled rotten and were soon eating up a storm and putting on the weight they needed.  Have fun, little girls!

UPDATE:  Their foster mother says that these two little ones are the sweetest, most loving and affectionate little kittens she has ever fostered!  They are playful, attentive and loving little ones.

On November 6, 2021, they went to visit their friends at The Purrfect Cup.  Please come meet them there - this place is fantastic!  Best Cat Cafe EVER!!

On November 27, 2021, Shade and Shine were adopted into a loving home in Fredericton where they will be the most loved by two teenage girls who are smitten by these little kittens!  Congratulations, Shade and Shine!  Send lots of photos - we will enjoy seeing you grow up!

"Orbit" and "Tagg" came to DunRoamin' on the evening of October 2, 2021 from the Centreville area where they were part of a colony we have been trying to help for years.  These cats all need to be spayed/neutered and moved to safe barns (for those who cannot be tamed) or to loving homes.  These two little ones were born about August 23, 2021.

Orbit and Tagg were dehydrated, scared and had parasites.  We (and they) would like to thank their vet tech friend Kate for coming to DunRoamin' to check them out and ensure they were healthy.  They received a full checkup the very next day and began their routine of full vaccines, tests for FIV and FeLV, spay/neuter and parasite control.

They were initially scared and showed their feisty spirit with loud hisses, but they soon understood that they were warm, safe, had a nice soft bed and plenty of food.  They'd like to thank the kind family in Centreville who had been keeping an eye out for them to ensure they were safe.

On November 21, 2021, a very nice young gentleman travelled all the way from Halifax, NS, to meet these little ones and it was love at first sight.  Orbit and Tagg now live in Halifax with their new family where they will be spoiled every bit as much as they deserve - maybe even more!  Congratulations!  Don't forget to send photos of you in your new  home!

"Muppet" came to us on September 4, 2021 from the Florenceville area where she was a member of a colony of cats.  She was not doing well.  She had a yellow ocular and nasal discharge, a tender abdomen and thickened bowels.  She needed medical attention.  She stayed under the care of her favourite vet for a few days to determine the full extent of her medical status and to receive ongoing care as required.  She was born about June 4, 2021.  Although she came from the same location as Honeydew, Bunsen and Beaker, she is about two weeks older.  There are many more cats and kittens there who need help, and we hope to provide just that.

As of September 10, 2021, Muppet was fostered by a vet tech to make sure she had the best of medical care while she became strong and healthy.  Thanks, Marley!   She reported on October 3, 2021, that Muppet was doing well and really loved other cats who helped her over her nervousness and boost her confidence.  She should be adopted to a home that already has pets, so that she will always have companionship.  She is still a bit nervous of humans at first, but will happily cuddle once she is familiar.  She will just need her new family to go slow with her to make sure she gains confidence in them and she has done so very well since she's been with us.  She loves to have her back scratched and will show her gratitude with a soft purr every time.  She is a beautiful little girl!

On November 20, 2021, Muppet was chosen to be the newest family member of a young couple in Fredericton where she will receive the very best of everything in her new life.  Congratulations, Muppet!  Send us photos and tell us about your new family!

"Gremlin" and his brothers Krueger, Lecter and Van Helsing came to us on October 24, 2021 from a colony in Florenceville which we have been trying to help for some time.  Several other of our kittens came from this same location recently as well.  Colonies are a problem as litters continue to be born to unspayed/unneutered cats.  Many of the kittens do not survive due to illness, injury, predation, lack of food, etc.  They need help.  Spaying/neutering is the only acceptable answer.

Gremlin was in the worst shape of the four brothers, with severe upper respiratory infection (URI).  They were all cold, hungry and not happy little campers.  Fortunately, with the care they received at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic, they are now fine.  They were prescribed medication for their URI and were soon gaining weight and becoming healthy little furballs.  Although they were initially very scared, thanks to the love and care of their foster mother they were soon well out of their shells and seeking out human interaction.  And they purr!!!  You have to listen carefully, but they purr with all their might when they see a human now!  They were born about September 11, 2021 and are very grateful for their new life.  All will be ready to leave for their new homes in December, just in time for Christmas!!

On November 20, 2021, Gremlin was adopted to a home in Florenceville.  He will stay with us until his protocol of neuter, vaccines, FeLV/FIV tests, etc, is complete and will leave for his home on December 22, 2021.  In the meantime, he'll be the cutest boy in the room - just ask him!!

"Mabel" came to us on October 15, 2021 from the Bristol area where she had been found all alone on a walking trail.  No mother or sibling was found, so she had no one to protect her, no one to learn from or help her get food and the nights are getting very cool now.  With cars and predators very frequent, she would most likely not have survived on her own for very long at all.

Mabel was born about August 13, 2021, so was still a baby.  She is was fostered by a vet tech who ensured she received the care she needed to become a strong and healthy little kitten.   Once she was big and healthy enough, she received full vaccines, was spayed, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites.  She was ready to go to a home in mid-November.

Mabel's foster  mother reported that Mabel was very affectionate and loved to sit on her shoulder and give kisses.  She also loved playing and snuggling with other cats.  She was a bit of an acrobat and loved climbing anything!  She had a mild sassy side and would let you know if she'd had enough or if she was hungry - she'd yell at the top of her lungs until she was fed!  She certainly has equal amounts of love, cuteness and purrsonality!

On November 20, 2021, Mabel was adopted by a lady in Jacksonville where she will be a new best friend for our Bumble (now known as Beau) who was adopted on August 14, 2021.  Congratulations, Mabel!  Hi, Bumble!!

Bumble

"Peck" came to us on September 18, 2021 from the Woodstock area where he was a stray who had no one to care for him.  His tail had been broken, he was very thin and he was covered with fleas (how uncomfortable!!),  He's a sweetheart and he loves people!

Peck wasn't all that interested in eating at first so was under the supervision of his vet friend at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic.  He was on medication, but even while not wanting to eat, he was a loving, affectionate, playful little guy who captured the heart of each of his DunRoamin' caregivers.

He is now very healthy, eating well, happy and anxious for a new home and family.  He is up to date on all his vaccines and ready to go as of the middle of October!  He can't wait!!   He and his friend Muppet were fostered by their friend in Windsor and they are very grateful for the love and care they received.

On November 18, 2021, Peck was excited to meet his new family.  He is now the best friend of a young couple in Fredericton where he will be loved and spoiled rotten for the rest of  his life!  Thanks, Noah!  Have a great life, Peck!!

"Giovanni" came to us from the Plaster Rock area on August 30, 2021.  Found on the side of the road with no one who was able to help him, he came to us with an infected right eye.  He was very thin and needed some good nutrition and a safe place in which to become healthy again.  He was born about January 31, 2021.

He was provided with medication to help his eye and he is perfectly fine now, as you can see by his beautiful photo.  He was originally quite feisty, but now that he is reassured that he is with people who will treat him well and address all his needs, he's settling in very well.

Giovanni has made a name for himself as being very energetic.  He loves to run, play, wrestle and chase toys.  He launches himself at our knees as though he's been watching Kato on The Green Hornet too much!  He is very loving, very energetic and has a ton of love to give.  He will need a home with at least one other cat or with humans who will give him a very large dose of attention and interaction.  He's a boy full of motion!!

On November 13, 2021, Giovanni was elated to learn that he would now join the family of a young gentleman from Hanwell.  They enjoy each other very much and appreciate each other's personalities!  Have a great new life, Giovanni!  We will be waiting to hear about our latest antics!!

"Chapman," his mom Colette and brother Camo (see below) came to us on September 27, 2021 from Woodstock where Collette had brought her kittens to the home of a family who could not care for them.  They had been born about July 27, 2021 and were very tiny for their age, weighing less than 600 grams when they should have weighed at least 1000 grams.  They had bad cases of fleas and ear mites which made them very uncomfortable.  They were still nursing from their mom, even though they were too old for that, but it gave them nutrition they needed.

Chapman was soon doing better.  He was happy to be eating canned and dry food on his own and even starting to play a little bit.  They were soon healthy enough to be neutered, vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and go to loving homes.  On September 27, 2021, they went to be fostered with their friend in Woodstock where they fell in love with a cat-loving canine!  Thanks for having them!

On November 6, 2021, they went to visit their friends at The Purrfect Cup.  Please come meet them there - this place is fantastic!  Best Cat Cafe EVER!!

On November 13, 2021, Chapman and his brother Camo (see below) were invited to join the family of a very nice lady from Fredericton.  Congratulations, boys!  Please remember to send us lots of photos and tell us about your wonderful new home and family!

"Camo," his mom Collette and brother Chapman (see above) came to us on September 27, 2021 from Woodstock where Collette had come as a stray to the home of a family who could not care for them.

Camo was soon prospering, eating canned and dry food on his own and even starting to play a little bit.  When healthy enough, he was neutered, vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and ready to go to a loving home.  On September 27, 2021, Camo and Chapman went to be fostered with their friend in Woodstock where they fell in love with a cat-loving canine. Thanks for having them!

On November 6, 2021, they went to visit their friends at The Purrfect Cup.  Please come meet them there - this place is fantastic!  Best Cat Cafe EVER!!

We are happy to report that on November 13, 2021, both Camo and his brother Chapman (see above) were adopted by a very nice lady in Fredericton.  They will live happily ever after in their new home.  Congratulations!  Send lots of photos!!

"Tully" came to DunRoamin' on July 13, 2021 from Coldstream where he, his sister Teal and three brothers Torque, Travers and Trubble had been found in a shed.  No mother was located and kind people were trying to feed and care for them, but with their own pets found it to be too daunting a task, especially since these little ones needed medical care.   They were born about June 1, 2021, so were not old enough to be away from their mother.   They needed medical support, as well as lots of love and care.

Tully was underweight, had conjunctivitis, ocular and nasal discharge and was sneezing constantly.  He also had diarrhea which had caused him to lose hair around his anus.  Multiple fecal balls had to be removed, but he was soon starting to feel more comfortable.

Thanks to the care he has received at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic, he was soon fine.  He is neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus and treated for all parasites.  On September 9, 2021, he was adopted by a nice lady in Fredericton.  Unfortunately, his kitten antics were too much so he returned to us to find a home.  Tully is a typical energetic, playful kitten who loves to run, wrestle and play.  He will do best in a home with another cat or two approximately his age so that they may burn off each other's energy together while having a fun time!

Tully stayed with his friends at The Purrfect Cup in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, NB.  Please come meet him and check out this cat cafe!  It's fantastic!  You'll love the coffee, treats, staff and cats!

On November 6, 2021, Tully was adopted by a young lady who had fallen in love with him.  He is the purrfect match for her, and vice versa.  Congratulations on your new home in Fredericton, Tully!  Send lots of pictures!!

"Beaker" came to us on August 23, 2021 from the Florenceville area where there was no one to care for this little one.  He is a sibling to Bunsen and Honeydew who came to us on August 11.  We are happy to reunite him with his siblings.

Beaker has obvious signs of upper respiratory infection and can't seem to get enough food into him.  He has been checked out by his new best friend who had prescribed medication to ensure his upper respiratory infection comes to a quick and complete halt so that he may start his journey toward safety, security, health, love and family.

As of September 7, 2021, Beaker is doing just fine.  He was reunited with his siblings Bunsen and Honeydew and they were so very happy to have each other again!

On September 18, 2021, Beaker went to spend some time with his friends at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton.  Come check this place out!!  You'll love the food and coffee, and of course, you'll love the cats

On November 6, 2021, Beaker was very happy to leave for his new home in Hanwell where he will be SO happy for the rest of his life!  Congratulations, Beaker!  Send lots of photos - we can't wait to see your new home!

"Pawl" came to us on September 11, 2021 from the Hartland area.  He was part of a group of cats being cared for, but he had injuries to his ears.  A kind lady rescued him and brought him to us for help.  He was covered with fleas.  Pawl was born about September 11, 2019.  Pawl was underweight, had cauliflower ears (aural hematomas due to a build-up of scar tissue), and had ear mites.  His ears were very dirty and his ear canals are slightly narrow, so he may require routine ear cleanings (very easy to do - he doesn't mind at all!)  He received parasite control, his ears were cleaned and he is already much more comfortable.  He's gonna be fine!!

Pawl is quiet and unassuming.  He is grateful to have lots of food and he already trusts us.  He will receive all medical care required, will and is now neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites.  He's now looking forward to being invited to join a family who will love and care for him forever!  He can't wait!  He's ready right now!!!  He is a very social and playful little guy who loves other cats and is curious about what people are doing - he wants to be involved!  He is a real sweetheart!

On November 6, 2021, Pawl was excited to learn that he had been chosen as the newest family member of a very nice young couple from Fredericton.  He will always be safe, warm and loved - and he'll always have the family of which he has dreamed.  Congratulations to all!

"Zeus" came to DunRoamin' on July 26, 2020, the morning of a very great rain storm, so we decided to name him after the god of thunder!   He was born about July 27, 2016 and came from the Centreville area where he was a stray that no one could help.  As his future was not good, he stayed with us.

Zeus is a sweetheart.  He has obviously enjoyed an indoor life before, because once he overcame his fear of the unknown and became certain that we were okay, he showed an entirely different side of himself.  He is loving, cuddly, affectionate, loves chin rubs and belly rubs and is an all-around nice boy.  If you'd like to meet him, please get in touch - he'd love to have a family before the cold winter months set it.  He dreams of sleeping on a nice warm lap in front of the TV and on a huge big human bed at night!!

On August 21, 2021, Zeus went to stay with his friends at The Purrfect Cup in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, where he was spoiled rotten!  He loved it there, and was very grateful for the many wonderful people who cared for him.

On October 24, 2021, Zeus was elated to leave for his new home.  He will now be the very best friend of a nice lady in Fredericton who works from home and is anxious to have someone to keep her company while she works.  Zeus is more than happy to do that!  Congratulations, Zeus!  Send lots of photos!!

"Honeydew" and her sister Bunsen came to us on August 11, 2021 from Florenceville where they were found all alone.  Both were very skinny and had upper respiratory infection - something a little kitten rarely gets over on their own, and they were definitely on their own.

They were born about June 17, 2021. They were given medication to ensure their upper respiratory infection was treated.  They also received lots of love and affection, as well as a nutritious diet of Royal Canin Kitten Food to ensure they got the best start possible in their new lives,

On September 7, 2021, they were reunited with their brother, Beaker , and both Honeydew and Beaker spent time with their friends at The Purrfect Cup, Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, NB.  Please come meet them and enjoy a great cup of coffee, some really great treats and some pretty nice cats, too!

On October 14, 2021, Honeydew was adopted by a young gentleman from Fredericton.  She will now spend the rest of her life being loved and spoiled.  Congratulations, Honeydew.  Send lots of photos!

"Rosemary" and her son Fennel came to us on August 21, 2021 from the Hartland area where their lives were not secure.  They were picked up by a young lady who could not care for them so they came to us.

Rosemary is a very grateful and friendly cat.  She loves people and is a great mom.  She was born about July 10, 2018.  She is a quiet little girl who loves to show attention to people.  She shows gratitude for her new life and that of her little kitten every day with purrs and head butts.  She is very attached to her little boy, Fennel who was born about July 10, 2021.  We think that he is her only surviving kitten and they seem to be more bonded than usual.  They play with each other and sleep together all the time - they don't want to be apart!  Fennel is a very outgoing and loving little boy who is the first to "yell" at us if we walk by without patting or talking to him!

We are very pleased to report that on October 11, 2021, Rosemary and her son Fennel were adopted by a family in Wasaga Beach, ON.  They will be new family members for a young boy who immediately fell in love with Fennel (now named Cooper) and Rosemary fell in love with the young boy, so it was a no-brainer for the whole family!  Thanks for all you have done for DunRoamin' strays and thanks for adopting two more into your family.  We look forward to many photos.

"Banana" came to us on the evening of July 10, 2021 from the Red Bridge area where she was found on the side of the road by a lady who was out for a walk.  This lady noticed that she needed help.  Banana was born about June 4, 2021.

Banana was assessed by her new vet friend who diagnosed her with road rash on her chin, a partially-healed tail injury and paralysis in her right front leg.  She was most probably thrown from a vehicle, as these are injuries we see frequently from that type of trauma.

Banana understood that her new friend was there to help her and co-operated for her examination, although she was decidedly vocal about it!  She quickly dived into the wet food provided to her, then curled up for a nap borne of exhaustion and a full belly beside her new hedgehog friend who will keep her company while she recuperates.

On August 11, 2021, the dead end of Banana's tail fell off and a portion of the remainder of her tail required amputation, as well as her right front leg.  This happened in September once she was big and strong enough to undergo surgery.  She did well and experienced the best of care from her foster mother who is a vet assistant.   Donations are appreciated to help support this beautiful little girl.

Banana would especially like to thank the generous person who made a donation to help with her surgeries.  We are all very grateful - especially Banana!

"Blue Bell" returned to DunRoamin' on August 31, 2021.  She originally came to DunRoamin' on July 15, 2014 where she had been found all alone on the side of a road.  Born about June 1, 2014, she was emaciated, dehydrated, her eyes and nose were badly infected, she was hypothermic, and had fleas and ear mites.  Not a great start!  Blue Bell was brought back to health and was adopted on September 18, 2014.  Unfortunately, her family eventually had to move to an apartment that did not allow pets, so she came back to us.  She is spayed, tested for FIV and FeLV and will be up to date on her vaccines the end of September.

Blue Bell is a beautiful cat who is hoping for a new home where she can live happily ever after.  She is not a great fan of dogs, but can tolerate them.  She is grateful for all human servants.  Blue Bell has settled in well and is a friendly, loving little girl who looks forward to another family with whom to bond and spend the rest of her days.

Blue Bell 2014

On September 30, 2021, Blue Bell was officially adopted into her new home in Woodstock where she will be the best friend of a very nice lady, her husband and one cat.  She loves them already after meeting them only twice!  Congratulations, Blue Bell!  Write soon and send lots of photos!  We'll miss you!

"Anubis," his brothers Ra and Hathor and sister Bastet came to DunRoamin' on July 31, 2021 from the Somerville area where they were part of a colony of cats who were not in good shape.   Both Ra and Bastet required surgery to remove an eye due to damage sustained from untreated upper respiratory infection.  Hathor has a permanent scar on one eye, but Anubis was very fortunate to have no adverse effects from the upper respiratory infection thanks to the medical care received at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic.  He's a very lucky little boy.

These little grey and white furballs were born about June 19, 2021 and had no one to care for their medical needs.  Their spay/neuter surgeries were scheduled to take place mid-September and they will be able to go to  homes shortly afterward.  All are doing very well. Donations are appreciated to help with their care.

On September 25, 2021, Anubis was very happy to learn that both he and his brother Hathor (see below) were chosen to join the family of a young military couple in Oromocto where they will be the best friends of two young daughters.  Congratulations, Anubis!  Ask your family to send lots of photos - we'll miss you!!

"Hathor," his brothers Ra and Anubis and sister Bastet came to DunRoamin' on July 31, 2021 from the Somerville area where they were part of a colony of cats who were not in good shape.  Two of these little sweethearts, Ra and Bastet, required surgery to remove an eye each as the damage done by upper respiratory infection was unrepairable.  Hathor's eye has a scar on it from upper respiratory infection, but it does not require removeal - he'll be fine!

These little grey and white furballs were born about June 19, 2021 and had no one to care for their medical needs.  Their surgeries took place September 17, 2021 and they will be able to go to  homes shortly afterward.  All are doing very well, thanks to the medical care they have received at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic.  Donations are appreciated to help with their care.

On September 24, 2021, Hathor was SO excited and happy to leave for his new home in Oromocto where he and his brother Anubis (see above) were invited to join the family of a young couple and their two daughters who fell in love immediately.  Congratulations, Hathor!  Send pictures!!

"Gaynor" returned to DunRoamin' on August 24, 2021 from Fredericton where she had been adopted in November, 2020.  As per our adoption contract, if an adopter cannot keep a DunRoamin' pet for any reason, they must come back to us.  Gaynor was born about September 18, 2013 and had come to us on April 14, 2020 from Oakland where she had been diagnosed with flea allergy dermatitis.  As she is allergic to fleas, should she be subjected to them, she will scratch and/or pull her hair out as they make her very itchy.  The most efficient way of ensuring this does not happen is to provide monthly flea medication.

Gaynor was checked out by her new vet who determined that she was slightly overweight.  She is up to date for her vaccines and has already tested negative for FeLV and FIV.  She will require ongoing flea medication but that's no big deal - everyone should have flea medication, especially when you're allergic!  Gaynor is a beautiful little girl who wants only to be comfortable and loved.  She is hopeful to find someone really soon who will ensure the rest of her life is everything she deserves it to be.

On September 25, 2021, Gaynor was elated to learn that she had been adopted by two very nice young ladies from Fredericton who had visited her at DunRoamin' and couldn't get her out of their mind.  She is SOOO happy!  Congratulations, Gaynor!   Don't forget to stay in touch - we'll miss you and can't wait to learn about you and your new home and family!

"Trubble" came to DunRoamin' on July 13, 2021 from Coldstream where he, his sister Teal and three brothers Torque, Travers and Tully had been found in a shed.  No mother was located and kind people were trying to feed and care for them, but with their own pets found it to be too daunting a task, especially since these little ones needed medical care. They were born about June 1, 2021, so were not old enough to be away from their mother. They will need medical support, as well as lots of love and care.

Trubble was underweight, had conjunctivitis, ocular and nasal discharge and was sneezing constantly.  These little ones will require medical support to bring them back to health.

Thanks to the care he received at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic, Trubble is fine.  He is neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus and treated for all parasites.  He's looking forward to a home where he will be safe and loved forever.  He is the most talkative of all, and he says he is the cutest, too!!  As of July 22, 2021, he and his siblings were fostered by their good friend in Upper Brighton.   They then went to spend some time with their friends at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe, Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, NB, where they had a blast!  Come check out this wonderful cat cafe - you'll love it there!!

"Macy," her sister Melody and mother Marian came to DunRoamin' on August 3, 2021 from Woodstock where the kittens had been born and no one was able to care for them.  Melody and Macy were born about June 27, 2021, so were only about five weeks old.

Macy is a typically social, loving and playful little girl.  She loves her mom and sister and she particularly loves wrestling with Melody - she even wins sometimes!

Macy received all the medical assistance she required for parasites which have resulted in ropey intestines and a distended abdomen.  She, her sister and her mom were given a nutritious diet, are warm and loved and now spayed, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites.  They've never experienced a nice, safe, loving home or getting to sleep on a laptop, or even curling up on a human lap while they work on one!  They can't wait!!

On September 24, 2021, Macy and her sister Melody (see below) were adopted by a young family in Grafton where they will grow up together with two young children.  Congratulations to everyone!!  Don't forget to send photos!!

"Melody," her sister Macy (see above) and mother Marian came to DunRoamin' on August 3, 2021 from Woodstock where the kittens had been born and no one was able to care for them.  Melody and Macy were born about June 27, 2021, so were only about five weeks old.

Melody was named because she is constantly singing at the top of her lungs!!  When she wants attention, she wants it now!  She is a beautiful little girl who loves to cuddle with her sister - there are only the two of them and their mom, so they are very close.

Melody had ropey intestines (parasites), a distended abdomen and a very slight heart murmur.  It is our experience that these little ones can easily grow out of a small heart murmur, but we'll keep an eye on it and keep you up to date.

Melody, her mom and sister were spayed, vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and were soon ready for homes.

On September 24, 2021, Melody and her sister Macy were both adopted by a young family in Grafton where they'll grow up together with two young children.  Congratulations!  Send photos!!

All five kittens had fleas and were too young to urinate on their own.  We are grateful to have the support of a caring vet tech who immediately offered her love and experience to foster these little ones to ensure they would be well.   Thanks, Ashley - you are very much appreciated.

All required lots of love, some medication and lots of play time - that's mandatory for all kittens!!  As soon as they were healthy and big enough, they were spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites.  They are anxious to have a safe, loving and joyous home and family!

On September 22, 2021, Remi was excited to leave for his new home in Lansdowne where he'll be loved forever.  And to make him even more happy, his brother Ryker (see below) got to go too!  They'll always be together!  Congratulations!!  What a wonderful ending to this story and a wonderful start to a new life!!

They were born about June 17, 2021. They were placed on medication to ensure their upper respiratory infection was treated.  They are also receiving lots of love and affection, as well as a nutritious diet of Royal Canin Kitten Food to ensure they get the best start possible in their new lives.

Examination by his new vet revealed that he was born about May 9, 2021, so was just a baby.  He underwent intensive medical care including receiving fluids, medication, nutritious food and a very warm bed to raise his temperature - it was unreadable upon his arrival.

Ewan is doing better day by day.  He is very vocal about what he wants and is VERY affectionate - if you want to cuddle someone, he's your boy!

Maleficent was just a baby and was soon under the care of her new vet tech foster mother who ensured she received the best of care while she recuperated.  She needed much care including medication to assist her to overcome her respiratory infection and as of August 18 she was doing much better.  Her eyes have cleared up significantly and she has a much more positive prognosis than she did a month ago!  Thanks for fostering her, Marley - you are very much appreciated!

"Marla" came to us on May 13, 2021 from Somerville,  NB as part of a colony of cats that was growing in size.  As with most colonies, there was not enough food and more than enough poor health.  Marla needed medical help badly.   Her left eyeball was ruptured and could not be saved.  The eyelids of her right eye were partially fused together, she was underweight and had stomatitis and severe periodontal disease which required her to have all of her remaining teeth removed.  Between the pain of her eyes and her teeth, she must have been in agony.  Marla was born about May 13, 2019 and is a beautiful grey and white little girl.

Marla needed help, and that's exactly what she got.  She received all necessary medical care, is now spayed, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites.  Marla was named after legally blind Olympic medalist Marla Runyan who won four gold medals at the 1992 Summer Paralympics.  Our Marla will also adapt and overcome her disability - we are sure of it!  With all the love and medical support she is receiving, we know she will be fine.

Donations to help with her medical care were greatly appreciated.  She hopes to meet someone who will take her home and give her the love and family she deserves.  She can't wait, and she will show her undying gratitude every single day.   As of July 7, 2021, Marla has a favourite toy with which she plays unendingly  -  she loves it!  It is so nice to watch her finally be happy and healthy enough to enjoy lots of play time!  She loves all people and is so very grateful for her new life of joy, love and pleasure.

"Artemus" came to us on April 22, 2015 from the NBSPCA, along with 14 other cats.  Artemus is a beautiful tabby boy who was born about August 22, 2013.  He had ear mites and was very thin but was otherwise in good health.

Artemus was quite timid but has learned to trust.  He lived with four other cats whom he loved.  He is a beautiful boy who would like to live in a home with a family and at least one other cat for feline company.  He seems to like men more than women, but warms up to women as well.  Please come meet him.  He has a wonderful personality.  He has come a very long way and loves kittens and other cats for company.

On November 26, 2016, Artemus was invited to live as a foster kitty with a very nice couple in Hartland who also adopted two DunRoamin' kittens (Fire and Ice).  He will be a new best friend for three children, but he's quite partial to the gentleman - they've bonded VERY quickly and strongly.  Thank you for fostering this beautiful boy!

On August 31, 2021, Artemus was officially adopted by his loving foster family.  He will live happily ever after with them.  Thank you SO much for all you have done and will do for this beautiful little boy.  He is very special!

"Adelaide" was born about June 28, 2020 and came to us on July 11, 2021.  She is fully up to date on vaccines and is a beautiful little girl.  She is extremely affectionate with people who she seems to prefer over other cats, but she gets along with other cats after a time of introduction.  She loves people and will be a wonderful addition to any family, especially if they only would like to invite one cat to join their family (although she will certainly get used to other cats if need be).

Adelaide is up to date on vaccines, is spayed, tested negative for FIV and FeLV and has been treated for all parasites, so she's ready for a home and family.  Any takers???  On August 14, 2021, Adelaide went to spend some time with our friends at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, NB, where she hopes to meet that special family who will wecome her to a whole new life.  Drop in, have some great coffee and meet some wonderful felines!  You'll love it here!

We are so very happy to report that on August 28, 2021, Adelaide went to join a very nice young couple from Fredericton who can't wait to enjoy her friendship.  She will be spoiled greatly, and of course, she will be spoiling her new family with SO much love and gratitude.  Congratulations to all!!

"Fritter" and her three babies, Eclair, Cruller and Bear Claw came to us on June 1, 2021 from the Perth-Andover area.  Fritter was born about June 1, 2020 and is a very sweet little girl.  She had ear mites and was lactating, as she was trying to feed her babies.   She was very skinny.

Fritter was given lots of nutritious food to help her gain weight and have enough food to pass on to her babies.  She is a wonderfully caring mom who takes great pride in her babies.  She is loving, affectionate and loves people.  She has now been spayed, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV, treated for all parasites and is anxious to have a home of her very own.  She looks forward to it!

On July 3, 2021, Fritter went to stay with her friends at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, NB where she was very spoiled while she waited to meet that purrfect family who would give her a loving home.  She very much enjoys greeting people and all the company/servants she has at The Purrfect Cup!  Have fun, Fritter!

On August 28, 2021, Fritter was overjoyed to learn that she had been invited to join the family of a very nice young man from Upper Kingsclear.   You've got it made now, Fritter!  Enjoy your wonderful new life and don't forget to send photos!!

Meet "Teed."  He came to us on June 10, 2021 from Teed's Mill where he was found all alone near some broken glass - not a safe place for such a little boy.  He was born about June 9, 2021, so was only about a day old.  He definitely needed help immediately, or would not survive.

Teed was cared for by a vet tech who fed him every hour around the clock to ensure he had the best chance for survival.  Thank you for your kindness, Jayme.  Teed's servant reports that his eyes opened on the weekend of June 19th and that he was getting bigger and more mobile every day.  He is a very demanding little boy who wants to eat all the time and makes sure you know when he's awake!

He's almost two months old as of August 6, and he's doing well, thanks to his caregiver.  We are in your debt for the life of this little one.

On August 6, 2021, Teed tested positive for Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV+), so must be segregated from other cats to ensure they do not contract this virus.  He is hoping for a home as an only cat, or with another FeLV+ friend!  These cats should ideally be "only cats" or live with other FeLV+ cats.  He is a typically happy, playful little furball who will benefit greatly from the company of other cats and of humans.  Please read about FeLV - it's really not that big a deal, and he would love to have a home and family.  He will receive his final vaccines and be neutered at the end of September and he hopes to be "Spoken For!!" long before that!

On August 17, 2021, we were so very pleased and grateful to learn that Teed (now named Google) will now belong to A Dozen Roses in Plaster Rock where he is fostered by his best friends, Angie and John.  Teed will live with them and their other FeLV+ cats (including DunRoamin's Agatha, Iowa and Katkid) so he will have lots of feline company while he awaits a permanent home.  We are all so grateful to Angie and her crew at A Dozen Roses Animal Rescue for all they do to help animals in the Plaster Rock area.  Please check out their Facebook page and consider supporting their ongoing efforts to help animals.

**  Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) is found in cats worldwide.  It may be spread by saliva, nasal secretions, urine, feces and milk from infected cats.  Cat-to-cat transfer of the virus may occur from a bite wound, during mutual grooming and (though rarely) through the shared use of litter boxes and feeding dishes.  Transfer may also take place from an infected mother cat to her kittens, either before they are born or while they are nursing.  Although there has long been a stigma associated with this virus, these cats can live long and happy lives as only cats or with other cats who have FeLV.

"Guff" and his sister "Gadot" came to us on June 22, 2021 from Benton where they had been born into a family who could not provide for them.  We will ensure their mom is spayed so that no others are born into a world where there are not enough homes for those already here.

Guff and Gadot were born about April 22, 2021, so were only about two months old.  They had fleas, ear mites and intestinal parasites, but were quickly treated for them.  They are now spayed/neutered, tested for FIV and FeLV and fully vaccinated so that they will be ready to go to a nice home where they will be loved for the rest of their life.  They looked forward to that and were hopeful that they might get a home for both of them - and it's happening!  Yahoo!  They get to stay together!

On August 17, 2021, Guff and Gadot, now renamed Linus and Lucy, went to join their new family in Florenceville where they will live happily ever after with several other canine and feline friends.  We thank their new family for keeping them together and for all their support for DunRoamin' over so many years.  We are all so very fortunate to call you friends!

"Bumble" came to DunRoamin' on May 11, 2021 when he, his mom and three brothers were found in a cardboard box outside the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic.  Left there at approximately 6:30 am, their scared mom, Queen Bee, had soon jumped out of the box, leaving them on their own until they could be rescued from the cold and rain.  Bumble and his siblings were born about April 4, 2021.

We thank Queen Bee's rescuer who, throughout the night, checked live traps set out in the rain with hopes she would come back to her babies.  She was found in one of the live traps at about 4:30 am and reunited with Bumble and his brothers who were SO happy to see her!  All kittens will be vaccinated, neutered, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites.  They will be SO happy to be free of ear mites - they're not fun! They look forward to loving homes in the near future.

These beautiful cats are named in honour of "No Mow May" - an initiative to help save our dwindling bee population by not mowing wildflowers on our lawns during the month of May so the bees can have lots of flowers to pollinate.

We are so pleased to announce that on August 14, 2021, Bumble finally joined his new family in Jacksonville where he will be spoiled beyond his wildest dreams.  He eagerly jumped onto his mom's shoulders and was SO happy to finally join his family!  We are very happy for you, Bumble.  Please send photos and tell us about your new life!!

"Bear Claw," his mom Fritter and siblings Cruller and Eclair came to us on June 1, 2021 from the Perth-Andover area.  Bear Claw, the tiniest of the family, was born about April 22, 2021.  He was initially a bit sluggish, but with some good food and lots of care, he was soon doing better.  He also had worms, ear mites and a low body temperature.  He immediately received the medical care he required and was fostered by a vet tech in order to receive special care which included IV fluids to help him get better.  He is doing well as a result.

Bear Claw loves to wrestle, roll and chase toys, his friends and siblings!  He is still the tiniest of all the kittens, but is putting on weight.  He is now ready for a home and family.

On July 31, 2021, he went to visit his friends at The Purrfect Cup in Two Nations Crossing.  He is the most affectionate, playful and happy little guy!  He loves people!!  Please stop in, enjoy some fantastic coffee and treats, and meet some pretty nice cats, too!!

On August 14, 2021, Bear Claw was officially adopted by a family from Fredericton where he will join another young kitten and two young girls who are head over heals in love with him - and he easily reciprocates the love!  He can't wait to grow up in this home!  Congratulations, Bear Claw!!

"Hare" came to DunRoamin' on February 4, 2021 from a colony of 62 that was growing unchecked. They all required medical intervention and nutritious food.

This little girl was pregnant, had luxating patellas, parasites, upper respiratory infection and required her left hind leg to be amputated due to a previous untreated infected injury.  That's a LOT.

As per our standards, all our cats are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV, and treated for all parasites as well as any other medical conditions with which they require assistance to become fully healthy and happy little beings.  It is their wish (and ours!) that these little ones go to homes in pairs or to a home with an existing cat(s) of approximately the same age as they have never been without multiple other cats in their lives.

Hare is a beautiful little girl.  It takes her some time to be confident with humans but she's getting there and has come a very long way in the months of May and June!  A couple more weeks of being spoiled should do it!!  She is letting most people pat her without reservation and is becoming very secure in her safety.  She is a gorgeous little girl who has no problem navigating with only three legs!

On July 3, 2021, Hare went to stay with her friends at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, NB where she was so very spoiled while she waited to meet that purrfect family who will give her a loving home.  Have fun, Hare!

On August 14, 2021, Hare was very happy to learn that she had been invited to join the same family as her sister, Chipmunk (see below)!  Hare loves her sister and is so much more confident when she is with her!  We are grateful to the young couple from Fredericton who has invited them both to be part of their loving family.  Congratulations to all.  Please send lots of photos - we can't wait to see them in their new  home!

"Chipmunk" came to DunRoamin' on February 4, 2021 from a colony of 62 that was growing unchecked. They all required medical intervention and nutritious food.

This little girl was born about February 4, 2020, was pregnant, had parasites, upper respiratory infection and was missing incisors.  Chipmunk had more difficulty adjusting than most of her friends, but soon began to realize she is safe and will always be warm and have food.

As per our standards, all our cats will be spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV, and treated for all parasites as well as any other medical conditions with which they require assistance to become fully healthy and happy little beings. It is their wish (and ours!) that these little ones go to homes in pairs or to a home with an existing cat(s) of approximately the same age as they have never been without multiple other cats in their lives.  With the exception of little Badger, all were only about three years of age or younger.

Chipmunk was one of the most timid of all, but she is starting to come around as of February 11, 2021.  As of June 20, she was much more comfortable and will be ready to go to a home very soon.

On July 3, 2021, Chipmunk went to stay with her friends at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, NB where she was so very spoiled while she waited to meet that purrfect family who will give her a loving home.  Have fun, Chipmunk!  You'll soon be running the place!  One of her favourite games is to catch springs or toy balls that are tossed to her!

On August 14, 2021, Chipmunk was very happy to be invited to join the family of a young couple in Fredericton.  And to sweeten the pot just SO much more, her sister and best friend Hare (see above) was also invited!  We are so grateful that they may live together forever!  Thank you for welcoming them both - they are very fortunate little girls!

"Agatha" came to us on July 11, 2021.  She was born about June 28, 2021 and as we always want to know all the medical info possible about our cats, she was tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV).  Agatha tested positive for FeLV.  Please read about this virus below.  Cats can live long,  happy and healthy lives while carrying this virus but may need some additional care as they grow older - don't we all??

Agatha initially was not a happy camper, but who would be if they were taken from a familiar environment to a strange place, poked and prodded and housed in a strange location?  She has since recognized that we are all friends and is much more accepting and friendly.  She loves to be patted but takes a second to become used to new cats - but she does it, just give her a minute!

Agatha is a beautiful tortie who is hoping for a home of her own either by herself or with another (or two) FeLV+ cats who can all hang out together!!

On August 13, 2021, Agatha was so very fortunate to be invited to move in with A Dozen Roses Animal Rescue, our friends in Plaster Rock who foster (and adopt!) FeLV+ cats.  We are so very grateful!  Agatha will join Katkid and Iowa who were adopted on October 29, 2020 and are also FeLV+, so they'll all have friends with whom to play and cuddle.  We know they could not possibly have a better home and family!!  Thank you!  Agatha has already fallen in love with a young man in the family and has claimed the entire home as her own.  She loves it there!  Thank you!!

"Shoobie" and "Newbie" originally came to DunRoamin' on May 2, 2017 from the Plaster Rock area.  They were adopted to a home in Hartland in 2017, but due to unavoidable circumstances not related to them, they returned to us on June 30, 2021.  They are brothers who were born about April 22, 2015.

These beautiful orange tabby boys are very loving and affectionate.  They have always lived together, are very bonded and it is our wish that they not be separated as they are very close.  Both are cuddle cats who love sleeping on their humans and enjoy lots of attention and affection - they'll return many times what they get!  They are a bit difficult to tell apart until you get to know them and their personalities, but that comes quickly, even though they are very much alike.   They look forward to meeting someone who wants feline companionship and love, because they have lots of it and are willing to give it in spades!!!  They are neutered, tested for FIV and FeLV, treated for all parasites and their vaccines are all up to date. They're ready for a family!!

On July 31, 2021, Shoobie and Newbie went to Two Nations Crossing to spend some time with our friends at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe while they await a new home.  Please drop in to The Purrfect Cup - you'll love everything about it!!

On August 7, 2021, Shoobie and Newbie were excited to leave for their new home in Fredericton.  They now have their very own family and their very own young lady who will love them forever.  They are definitely cuddle cats who will be forever grateful for all the love and care they will get in their new family.  Congratulations!  Please write soon and send lots of photos!!  Thanks again to our friends at The Purrfect Cup for all the love and care they provide to these beautiful creatures.  Please drop in and have a coffee - you'll LOVE it!!

"Trina" came to us on April 13, 2021 from Northampton, NB where she and her friends Tiffany, Titus and Tito were living at a condemned building where they had no one to care for them.  Trina needed dental care and had ear mites which had caused her to inflict self-trauma to her ears while scratching them to try to alleviate the pain and itching which resulted from the ear mite infestation.  That would itch terribly!!  Trina was born about April 12, 2019.

Trina is a beautiful little girl who has come a very long way in the short time she has been with us.  She understands that she will always have food, warmth, a nice soft bed and shelter, so she appreciates all she's been given.  She is fully vaccinated, spayed, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites, so she's ready for a good home!

On June 12, 2021, Trina went to stay with her friends at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, NB, where she hoped to meet her new family.  She's a tiny bit on the shy side, but once she likes you, you're in!!  Have fun, Trina!!

We are so very happy to announce that on August 7, 2021, Trina was invited to join the family of a young couple who already has three cats, two of whom are DunRoamin'.  She will fit in perfectly and will have a great life with this family.  Say hello to Nadia and Brinkley for us!  Please write soon!

"Gorbie" originally came to DunRoamin' on February 20, 2019 from Greenfield where he had been found with radial nerve damage in his right front leg.  The damage was so bad that it required his leg to be amputated.  He is a sweet boy who was born about May 20, 2018.

Gorbie was adopted on April 21, 2019 but came back to us on May 29, 2021 as his family was no longer able to care for him.  He is loving, attentive and eager to live in a loving home once again.  He is already neutered and his vaccines are now up to date.  He's hoping for a new home so he can show his new family how wonderful he is!

These beautiful cats were named in honour of "No Mow May" - an initiative to help save our dwindling bee population by not mowing wildflowers on our lawns during the month of May so the bees can have lots of flowers to pollinate.

On July 7, 2021, we are pleased to announce that Drone was adopted by a very nice lady in Good Corner where he will live happily ever after.  Congratulations, Drone.  Please remember to send lots of photos so we can watch you grown in your beautiful new family!

"Nyra" came to DunRoamin' on May 31, 2021 from the Florenceville area where she was a stray who had no one to care for her.  Born about November 21, 2019, Nyra was very matted, pregnant, underweight and had gastro-intestinal parasites and fractured teeth.

Nyra was very happy to have lots of nutritious food and all the attention she quickly received from her staff of human servants.  She is very laid back, affectionate and playful.  She will make a perfect companion for anyone who wants someone to entertain and love them.

On June 26, 2021, Nyra went to stay with her friends at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, NB, where she hopes to meet her new family.  Have fun, Nyra!!

"Tito" returned to DunRoamin' on June 12, 2022 from Fredericton where he had been adopted on May 15, 2021.  Unfortunately, the lady of the house developed severe allergies and although he was loved and cared for very well, was unable to remain in the home.  Tito was born about April 12, 2019 and is a really sweet boy.

Tito had originally come to us from Northampton where he and some friends were trying to survive in an abandoned building with no one to care for them.  Initially, he was a bit timid, but it took very little time for him to understand that he was among friends and he quickly settled in to accept each and every chin scratch and head butt offered!

Tito is anxious to find a new family and looks forward to that day.  As of June 26, 2021, he is staying with his friends at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, where he hopes to meet his new family.  He was a little timid on his first day here, but he's never experienced such a wonderful place before.  He may take a couple of days to settle in, but once he does, he'll be the perfect guest.  Have fun, Tito!!

On July 3, 2021, Tito was so excited to learn that the family of his brother, Titus (see below) had noticed that he had come back to us to find a home.  They were anxious to reunite the two brothers, and Tito left for his new home in Lower Woodstock.  Congratulations, Tito!  Write soon!

"Gavin" came to DunRoamin' on May 11, 2021 from Anfield where he was a stray who was hanging around a home.  No one could take him in, and he needed help.  Born about May 11, 2019, Gavin had multiple medical issues to deal with, including fleas, ear mites, tartar on his teeth and numerous scabs and scratches on his body, perhaps the result of fighting to survive.   Gavin also swelling and conjunctivitis in his right eye.  Initially thought to be semi-feral, we have found him to be a sweetheart.  He is very happy to be warm, fed and safe and he shows his affection with a loud purr.

All of Gavin's medical issues were treated and he is now neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and has already been treated for those nasty parasites.  He's feeling better already, thanks to his friends at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic.  He hopes to be chosen by a family who will keep him indoors, safe and loved for the rest of his life.

On June 12, 2021, Gavin went to stay with his friends at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, NB, where he hopes to meet his new family.  Have fun, Gavin!!

On July 3, 2021, Gavin was happy to learn that he had been invited to join the family of a very nice lady in Fredericton who has a female cat who is lonely after losing her mate, and Gavin is the purrfect little boy to fill the shoes.  Congratulations to you and your new family!

"Newt" came to DunRoamin' on February 4, 2021 from a colony of 62 that was growing unchecked.  They all required medical intervention and nutritious food.

Newt was born about February 4, 2020.  She had luxating patellas, ear mites and required dental intervention due to missing incisors, stomatitis and loose teeth.  Now that she is feeling so much better, Newt has shown us her true personality.  She is loving, playful and LOVES attention!  And she loves to sleep upside down in sinks!!

With the exception of little Badger, all are only about three years of age or younger.

Newt has experienced a bit of cystitis and was placed on medication, but is doing well and will soon be ready to leave for her new home!  She can't wait!!

On July 2, 2021, Newt met her new best friend - they bonded immediately!  She will now live in Lincoln with her new family.  We look forward to lots of photos!!  Write soon!  Congratulations!!

"Latifah" came to DunRoamin' on April 7, 2021 from the Williamstown area where she was a stray who had been coming to a home looking for food.  Kind people had been feeding her and had given her shelter, but they soon noticed that she seemed to be in distress.

It was learned that Latifah had been in labour for about 24 hours and was having difficulty.  Sadly, veterinary intervention was unable to save her two kittens who had been trapped in her birth canal.  A Cesarean section was able to save her life and she is now doing well.  She looks forward to a time when she may go to a home where she will be safe inside, loved and cared for for the rest of her life.  Latifah is a beautiful little girl who loves people and will make an excellent companion.  She was born about April 7, 2020.

On May 15, 2021, Latifah went to visit her friends at The Purrfect Cup in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, NB where she had a wonderful time while she awaited that purrfect family to come meet her.  Have fun, Latifah!!

On June 21, 2021, Latifah was elated to learn that she would join the ranks of a family from New Maryland where she will be the very best new friend of two young boys.  They are already in love with each other!  Congratulations to you and your family, Latifah!!  Send lots of photos and letters to let us know what a wonderful new home and family you have!!

"Cruller," his mom Fritter and siblings Eclair and Bear Claw came to us on June 1, 2021 from the Perth-Andover area.  Cruller was born about April 22, 2021 and had ear mites that made him scratch at his ears, but that is all fixed up and he's fine now!

Cruller loves having seven other kittens in the nursery to play with and they are always chasing each other, rolling around and playing with toys.  When that's all done, they're off for a nap in one big kitten pile, and the purrs are much louder than you think they could possibly be from such tiny bundles of fur!

On July 2, 2021, Cruller was excited to learn that he had been chosen as the newest family member of a very nice lady from Newburg.  Congratulations, Cruller!  You will have a very spoiled life forever!  Good job!

"Orlando" came to DunRoamin' on January 29, 2021 from the Stickney area where he had been found as a stray hanging around a barn looking for food and shelter.  He was born about January 29, 2014, so was about seven years old.  He had multiple wounds, scabs and scars on his body, probably from just trying to protect himself to stay alive.  He had chronically-infected ears and his left ear is a cauliflower ear.  He also had a distended abdomen.  Obviously, he had had a hard life so far.

Orlando's wounds were treated, he was neutered, was placed on medication for his ears and was given lots of nutritious food and a warm, soft bed.  He no longer requires medication as all those parasites are now long gone, thanks to his routine parasite control medicine.  Orlando was very grateful.  He is definitely a cuddle cat, so either he has experienced human kindness at some time prior in his life, or he is just so darn grateful to have human kindness now.  He loves his attendants and when he is well (which should be soon) he will go to a new home.  Orlando tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus.  Please read about it here.  He hoped for a nice retirement home where he might spend his time sleeping on a lap and keeping his new family company.

On June 23, 2021, Orlando was introduced to a young lady from Fredericton and it was love at first sight.  Congratulations, Orlando!  Don't forget to remind your mom to send us lots of photos of you and your beautiful new home and family!  Yahooooo!

** FIV is contagious to other cats through blood and saliva.  It is reasonably difficult to spread, however, and now believed to be mostly spread through deep bite wounds.  Obviously it would be ideal if FIV-positive cats only lived with other FIV-positive cats, but currently some of the large rescue centers in the US have been studying multi-cat households with FIV-positive cats living with FIV-negative cats and have found the risk to the non-FIV cats to be very small, assuming that the cats are all spayed/neutered and used to living in groups (ie:  not as likely to fight).  We currently have FIV+ cats living with FIV- cats in foster homes and have experienced no difficulty whatsoever.

Please read about FIV here.

"Kona," his mom Barista and siblings Latte, Java and Espresso came to us on June 1 from the Perth-Andover area.  Born about April 13, 2021, Kona had a slight murmur, but this is something they often grow out of, but stay tuned - we'll keep you up to date.  Kona hopes to be ready for a home by the end of July.

Kona is a sweet little boy who loves playing, wrestling and cuddling with his seven other Coffee & Donut friends.  He will be very excited to go to a new home of his very own!

On June 23, 2021, Kona met a young gentleman from Fredericton who fell in love immediately - and vice versa!  When Kona has completed his vaccine protocol which will be in July,  he will be ready to leave for his new home - he can't wait!!  Congratulations, Kona!

"Queen Bee" came to DunRoamin' on May 11, 2021, when she and her four little boys were left in cardboard boxes outside the doors of the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic at about 6:30 am.  Unfortunately, before anyone was aware they were there, Bee escaped from the box, leaving her four babies behind.   Queen Bee was born about May 11, 2020, so was only about a year old - just a baby herself who had four babies to care for.   We cannot express how important it is to spay and neuter your pets - there is always help available.  Please get in touch if you have a cat who needs help so that more are not born into a world where there are not enough homes for those who are already here.

Once it was realized late that evening that Queen Bee had also been in the box, a search was conducted in the pouring rain, neighbours were requested to keep an eye out for her and we hoped she would be safe until she could be found.  Live traps were set, and thanks to the concern of a dedicated pet advocate, she was located in a trap at about 4 am and reunited with her kittens.  All were ecstatic to see one another safe and sound - especially the kittens who were still nursing!  We would like to thank their rescuer for being so concerned in the wee, wet, cold hours of the morning and making sure yet another cat was safe, cared for and reunited with her babies.

Bee has been spayed, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites.  She is a beautiful, friendly, loving and affectionate little girl who looks forward to a loving family.  She is petite and quiet and she loves people.  She can't wait for a home!

These beautiful cats are named in honour of "No Mow May" - an initiative to help save our dwindling bee population by not mowing wildflowers on our lawns during the month of May so the bees can have lots of flowers to pollinate.

On June 21, 2021, Queen Bee met a lady from Fredericton who had been taken by her photo and story.  Bee was very happy to be invited to join this family which includes two young children who will love her forever!  Congratulations to you and your new family, Bee!  Send lots of photos!!

"Azalea" came to us on April 13, 2021 from Good Corner, NB.  She was a stray who had been being fed but could not be taken in due to allergies within the household.  She was born about April 13, 2020.

Azalea is a sweetheart!  She loves people, loves to cuddle, loves to play - loves EVERYTHING!  She would love to have a home of her very own.  She will be ready (ie:  tested, vaccinated, etc) by mid-May and is looking forward to joining a nice family who will love her forever!

On May 15, 2021, Azalea went to spend some time with her friends at The Purrfect Cup, Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, where she hoped to meet her new family very soon.  Have fun, Little One - you'll LOVE it there!!

On June 12, 2021, we were pleased to announce that Azalea went to live with her new family in Devon where she will be spoiled SO well!  Congratulations to you and your new family, Azalea.  Please write soon and send lots of photos!  We will miss you!

"Will Feral" came to us on June 7, 2021 from Riverbank where he was a feral cat who was hanging out in the community and no one was able to help him.  He was born about June 7, 2014, so was about seven years old and all on his own.

Will had ear mites, fleas and tartar on his teeth, two of which required extraction.  He also had a crusty substance on his face which was treated.

On June 9, 2021, Will was adopted by a lady in Bedell as a barn cat who will help control the mouse population while he is kept safe and fed by his new humans.  He has a wonderfully large barn with lots of animals to keep him company and he will be safe and watched over for the rest of his life.  Congratulations, Will Feral!!

"Willikers" came to us on June 1, 2021 from the Debec area where he had been found in a garage and no one was able to take the little boy in.  Willikers tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) and Feline Leukemia (FeLV).  These are diseases found in some cats who have been living on their own or in colonies with no medical care.  Please read about these diseases here.  Cats with either of these diseases can live long and healthy lives.  We have had many FIV+ cats and FeLV+ cats, but have not had a large number who had both at the same time.

Willikers is a very sweet little boy who was born about April 12, 2017.  He had several injuries on his front paws, but a bit of medication, rest and good nutrition are all he needed to be back to health and ready to go to a home, either by himself or with another FeLV+ cat.  He is sweet, friendly, quiet and playful.  He loves people and is anxious for a real family of his very own!

On June 6, 2021, Willikers met the very nicest of couples from Fredericton who very quickly fell in love with him, and he easily settled into their arms.  He even purred for them right off the bat!  Some things are just meant to be.  Thank you for adopting this beautiful boy - we are sure he will bring nothing but joy to your home!  Congratulations, Jacques!!  Write soon!

"Titus" came to us on April 13, 2021 from Northampton, NB where he and his friends Trina, Tiffany and Tito were living in and around a condemned building.  They had no one to help them.  Titus required dental care, had missing incisors and had ear mites which had caused him to inflict self-trauma to his ears while scratching them to try to alleviate the pain and itching caused by their infestation.    Titus was born about April 12, 2020.

Titus has been the slowest of his siblings to acclimatize to his new surroundings, but is still very grateful to be warm, safe, have lots of nutritious food on demand and have a warm bed and plenty of loving servants.  His goal was to be ready for a home by mid-May, once his vaccines were all up to date.  He is now coming out for treats and head scratches and is much more comfortable now that he is secure in the fact that he will be safe and loved forever.

On June 5, 2021, Titus was adopted by a very nice young lady from Woodstock where he will live happily forever.  He is pleased to experience such love, kindness and receive all the one-on-one attention that he is fortunate to be receiving.  Thanks to his adopter!  Send lots of photos and updates - we can't wait to hear about his new life!

"Owl" came to us on March 30, 2021 along with three other kittens.  Born about January 26, 2021, he was very skinny, had pale gums, fleas and worms.  Medical care and good nutrition soon helped him become healthy so that he might go to a home of his very own.

Owl has been neutered, tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, and received his final vaccines and was soon ready to go to a new home.

On May 29, 2021, Owl went to visit his friends at The Purrfect Cup in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, NB where he had a wonderful time while he awaited that purrfect family to come meet him.   He played up a storm every day - he loved all his new friends and we are grateful to all his staff at The Purrfect Cup. We thank them all for their friendship and love for all our kitties!

On June 5, 2021, we are pleased to report that Owl left for his forever home.  He now lives in Richibucto Road where he plans on ruling the house!  He'll have lots of room to run and play and will have plenty of friends to entertain and to entertain him!  Congratulations, Owl!  Send lots of photos!!

Mallow is a loving little girl who is more shy than Eric.  It takes her a minute to become comfortable around people, but once she accepts you she is very affectionate and loves nothing better than to be cuddled on your lap receiving attention.

On May 15, 2021, Mallow and Eric went to visit their friends at The Purrfect Cup in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, where they hoped to find a new family.  Have fun, Mallow - you're going to love it there!!

Tiffany is a beautiful little girl who has come a very long way in the short time she has been with us.  She understands that she will always have food, warmth, a nice soft bed and shelter, so she appreciates all she's been given.  She will be ready for a home by mid-May and is looking forward to that very much.

On May 15, 2021, she went to spend some time with her friends at The Purrfect Cup in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton.  Please drop in and have some coffee and delicious treats.  You'll LOVE it there!!

"Goldfinch" came to DunRoamin' on March 30, 2021.  Born about January 16, 2021, she was underweight, dehydrated, had fleas, a heart murmur and intestinal parasites.

Goldfinch is a sweet little girl with a very cute little face.  She is affectionate and playful now that all her medical problems have been addressed.  She has tested negative for Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus and is now spayed and fully vaccinated.

On May 25, 2021, Goldfinch was very excited to learn that she had been chosen as a best friend for former DunRoamin' stray Clement who was adopted on March 13, 2021 (see below).  They are best friends and are so happy to have the very best of homes and a family that loves them.  Congratulations!  Don't forget to write!!

"Gerbil" came to DunRoamin' on February 4, 2021 from a colony of 62 that was growing unchecked. They all required medical intervention and nutritious food.

This little one was pregnant, had flea allergy dermatitis and requires dental intervention.

With the exception of little Badger, all are only about three years of age or younger.

On February 27, 2020, Gerbil went to spend some time with her friends at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, NB, where she hopes to meet her new family.  Please come check out this place - it's fantastic!!  The snacks and coffee are great, and the staff is fantastic!

On May 22, 2021, Gerbil was elated to go to her new home in Burton where she and her new feline friend will be family for a young couple who absolutely adore them both!  Congratulations, Gerbil!  Don't forget to write!!

"Galloway" came to us on January 23, 2013 from Woodstock, NB where he was a stray.  He had a lame right hind leg, was not neutered, was cold, hungry and dirty.  He was born about June 2007.

Despite all this, he was kneading and happy to have found refuge.  He was found to have a bit of arthritis, but he's doing very well.  He is not a fan of dogs and should not live in a home with canines!  He would love to be one of our Cats for Seniors cats again - he loves to sit and cuddle and spend time with a human to whom he will totally dedicate himself.  He is currently in a foster home but hopes for a permanent home of his own very soon.

On May 1, 2021, Galloway and his friend Gail (see below) went to spend some time with their friends at The Purrfect Cup, Fredericton, NB.  Please check them out!

We are so happy to report that on May 22, 2021, Galloway was excited to go to his new home in Fredericton where he will enjoy the company of a young lady, two other cats, and GUESS WHAT?!??  Gail got to go with him!  They will be together forever!  Thanks to your new family!!  Congratulations!!

"Gail" and her four kittens Greer, Gaines, Gamble and Gardner (all of whom have been adopted) came to us on September 14, 2012 from Hartland where a kind and generous couple had been feeding several strays who had been dropped off in their area. The lady had recently passed away and the man was moving, so these young ones would no longer have anyone to watch out for them. All were spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested for FeLV and FIV and treated for parasites.

Gail was born about September 15, 2011 and she was a little timid.  She is not a social cat and takes some time to adjust but has come a long way from when she was rescued.  She is fostered by some amazing supporters in West Florenceville.  Thank you so much, Rod and Judy!  It makes all the difference in the world to her!

On May 1, 2021, Gail and her friend Galloway (see above) went to spend some time with their friends at The Purrfect Cup, Fredericton, NB.  Please check them out!

On May 22, 2021, Gail was so happy to learn that she and her very best friend Galloway (see above) were invited to spend the rest of their lives in Fredericton with a young lady and her family which includes two other cats.  Congratulations, Gail!  Write soon!  We are so happy you and Galloway will be together forever!  Yay!!

"Tito" came to us on April 13, 2021 from Northampton, NB where he and his friends Trina, Tiffany and Titus were living in and around a condemned building.  They had no one to help them.  Titus required dental care and had ear mites which had caused him to inflict self-trauma to his ears while scratching them to try to alleviate the pain and itching caused by their infestation.   Tito was born about April 12, 2019.  Tito is a sibling to Tiffany and Trina (see above).

Tito is a very nice boy who has come a very long way in the short time he has been with us.  He understands that he will always have food, warmth, a nice soft bed and shelter, so he appreciates all he's been given.  Tito will be ready for a home by mid-May and is looking forward to that very much.

On May 15, 2021, Tito met a young couple from Fredericton who had been touch by his photo and his story and were interested in making him part of their family.  When they actually met him, they were absolutely certain that he was the guy for them!  They loved each other on sight, and it only gets better from there!  Congratulations, Tito!  You have a family!!

"Lark" came to us on February 26, 2021 from Hartin Settlement where she was a barn cat who had previously had kittens.   Lark had an abdominal wall hernia, perhaps the result of an old trauma.

Lark is now spayed and has completed her vaccine protocol.  She is a sweet little girl who is still self-conscious and insecure, but she is doing very well.  She loves to be patted - she just takes a second or two to get used to new people.

On March 27, 2021, Lark went to spend some time with her friends at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, NB, where she hoped to meet her new family.  Please come check out this place - it's fantastic!!  The snacks and coffee are great, and the staff is fantastic!

On May 15, 2021, Lark was so happy to learn that she had been invited to join a family that included a young man who had fallen absolutely head over heels in love with her.  He is anxious to be her new best friend, and vice versa.  We are SO  happy for you, Lark.  Please send lots of photos to both DunRoamin' and to your friends at The Purrfect Cup.  We will all miss you and look forward to seeing you enjoying your new home, life and family.

"Jayla" came to DunRoamin' on January 14, 2021 from a colony of 62 that was growing unchecked.  Jayla had ear mites, a fistula (abnormal connection between nose and mouth) on the left side of her nose and dental issues that required all of her teeth to be removed.  She also had an ear infection which was quickly addressed.  She was not comfortable at all, but is was soon feeling much better, thanks to the care of her staff and servants at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic.

Jayla was born about January 14, 2016 and weighed less than five pounds.  She has one blue eye (her right one) and she was slightly timid, but who wouldn't be in her circumstances?   She was provided with all required medical assistance and is now spayed, fully vaccinated, tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus and treated for all parasites.  As she has never been without multiple feline friends, it is our wish (and hers) that she may be adopted with at least one other feline friend so that she may continue to experience the feline camaraderie she has enjoyed for her entire five years.  Jayla has come a very long way from the timid and painful little girl who came to us on January 14.  She is doing really well and is ready and anxious for a home!

On May 15, 2021, we were elated to learn that Jayla had been invited to join a family in Burton who has previously adopted several DunRoamin' cats.  They had so kindly fostered her for a few days and had fallen in love - how could you not??  She now lives in Burton where she joins other very fortunate DunRoamin' cats.  Thanks to your new family for EVERYTHING, Jayla!  Congratulations!!  You have it made now!!

"Swan" came to us on March 30, 2021 along with three other kittens.  Born about October 13, 2020, she was small for her age, had fleas, worms, was underweight and had swollen mammary glands.  Swan is now spayed and has tested negative for Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus.  She was fully vaccinated in early May and very anxious to join a loving family. She is a sweet little girl who loves people and loves to play.

On May 8, 2021, Swan was so very happy to learn that she had been adopted by a very nice family from Minto where she will be the best friend of a young lady who loves her immensely!  She will be a new friend for an older cat and a younger dog.  AND . . . to sweeten the story even more, her friend Cardinal (see below) got to go along, too!  Congratulations!  We know you'll have the best life ever with your new family!  Write soon!

"Cardinal" came to us on March 30, 2021 along with three other kittens.  Born about July 29, 2020, she had fleas, worms, a luxating patella, a hernia and was underweight.

Cardinal is the most shy of all her friends but is doing well now that all her medical woes have been addressed.  She tested negative for Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus and has been spayed.  She received her final vaccines in early May and was anxious to find that perfect family who would love her forever.  Of the four kittens who came to us together, she was the most timid and slowest to accept us, but once she did, she was all in!  It takes her a minute to acclimatize to a new home, but once she feels secure, she loves to be picked up, patted and played with.  And she definitely likes her kitty fishing pole!

On May 8, 2021, we are so very happy to report that Cardinal was chosen to be the newest member of a family from Minto, NB.  She joins a loving family containing a very nice young lady who loves animals, including Cardinal's new puppy brother and older feline sister.  And guess what??  Her friend Swan (see above) got to go with her too!!  Congratulations!  Thank you SO much to your new family!  You've got it made!  Yahooooooo!  Don't forget to write soon!

"Sue Ellen" returned to DunRoamin' on January 21, 2021 because another cat in her home was bullying her.   She had originally come to us on May 30, 2015 from Fielding where she was a stray who was being fed by a senior citizen, but she had no shelter and it was much too cold for a little girl to be out on her own in January.  Sue Ellen was born about June 1, 2012 and is a very nice little girl.

Sue Ellen is up to date on her vaccines.  Other than some overgrooming which was perhaps due to the stress of being bullied, she is in good health.  She hopes to be adopted into a home where she will be respected - bullying is not acceptable in any culture, by any species, so we have promised her a warm home with caring humans.  She is very friendly, affectionate and loving so will do well in any home - she just wants to be loved and show her appreciation in return.  She loves to play with fishing rod toys!

On May 6, 2021, Sue Ellen was adopted by a very nice lady in Fredericton where she will spend the rest of her life being spoiled and loved beyond her wildest dreams.  Congratulations, Sue Ellen.  Don't forget to send us photos of you in your new home!

"Mimic" came to DunRoamin' on April 22, 2021 from Centreville.  She was underweight, had ear mites, conjunctivitis, a heart murmur and had no one to care for her.  She was born about March 8, 2021. She is a sweet little girl who wanted only a chance at life with a good family.

On April 27, 2021, Mimic was adopted by her foster family - it took less than four days for her to endear herself so completely that they couldn't dream of not having her as part of their permanent family!  Congratulations to all!!

"Murmur" came to DunRoamin' on April 22, 2021 from Centreville.  She had ear mites, luxating patellas and had no one to care for her.  She was born about March 8, 2021. She is a sweet little girl who wanted only a chance at life with a good family.

On April 26, 2021, Murmur was adopted by a young lady from Bristol who spoils her rotten along with her other DunRoamin' cats and their canine siblings.  Congratulations, Murmur.  Send lots of photos!

"Oggy" came to us on June 25, 2019.  He was severely emaciated, had ulcers on both eyes and he was matted to the point that when he was shaved his fur came off in one large, thick, dirty piece.  He had multiple pelvic fractures, he was anemic and had had some recent liver trauma.  It is most likely he had been struck by a car.  In addition to all these woes, Oggy had entropion, a condition in which the eyelashes curve inward toward his eyeballs and scratch them each time he blinks.  This condition was quickly rectified by his new vet friend.  He received the best of medical care and ate as if he hadn't eaten in a very long time (which was probably accurate).

On July 17, 2019, Oggy underwent surgery to repair his broken bones.  His left hind leg required amputation, but he's healthy, strong and doing well.  He's grateful for all the love and care he's received - he doesn't want to think about what would have happened had he not been rescued.  Neither do we.

Oggy is a social eater.   He loves his caregivers and is very happy to be warm, safe, pain-free and have a full belly and friends to care for him.   He lived at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic until he was healthy and he's now returned to us to find one of his very own.  Oggy takes Lactulose daily to ensure his bowels work properly, but is otherwise perfectly perfect!  He loves to play, be patted and just be the best company anyone could possibly want!  He is anxious to join a permanent family very soon.

In April, 2021, Oggy experienced some additional medical problems related to his bowels and now requires medical care which will most likely be ongoing.

On April 22, 2021, Oggy was formally adopted by a veterinary technician who will ensure his daily medical concerns are addressed.  We are grateful that he has such wonderful ongoing care in his new home.  Thank you for adopting him into your family.

"Nerf" came to DunRoamin' on March 31, 2021 from the Perth-Andover area where he had swallowed a piece of foam which plugged his small intestine, and he required surgery to remove the foam.  Nerf was born about June 23, 2019 and is a very sweet little boy.  He required medication and medical care and stayed with his vet staff at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic for several weeks until he was deemed well enough to undergo care in the foster home of a veterinary technician who ensured everything stays well with him.

Nerf is a very sweet little boy who loves attention and affection.  He loves people and is happy to be well and pain-free.  Thanks to the medical care he received from the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic, he is now completely healthy!

On April 20, 2020, Nerf was very happy to be adopted by a young lady in Riverbank where he will live happily ever after with several canine and feline siblings.  Congratulations, Nerf, to you and your new family.  Send pictures!!

"Amaryllis" came to DunRoamin' on December 12, 2020 from a colony of 62 that was growing unchecked.   She was born about June 13, 2020.  She was emaciated, had upper respiratory infection, dirty ears, stomatitis and loose and missing teeth to the degree that she required dental intervention leaving her with only 13 teeth.  She also had conjunctivitis and infected eyes.

Amaryllis is a beautiful little girl with a wonderful personality.  She hopes to be adopted with one of her siblings once she is well enough - she's never been without multiple felines all around her, so she hopes that one of her siblings (Cadeau, Eira, Forest, Neige) may be chosen to go with her.  Her sister, Neige, looks very much like her - just a little lighter in colour.  Despite their medical condition, all these little ones are friendly, loving and affectionate.  Stay tuned - we'll keep you up to date on their progress.  Amaryllis is now spayed and tested for FIV and FeLV.  She will soon be ready and willing to meet a new family!

It is our hope and wish that these kittens may be adopted in pairs, or at least to a home that already has feline family members as they have never been without other cats and appear to be very bonded to each other.

On February 27, 2020, Amaryllis went to spend some time with her friends at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, NB, where she hopse to meet her new family.  Please come check out this place - it's fantastic!!  The snacks and coffee are great, and the staff is fantastic!

On March 27, 2021, we were so excited to learn that Amaryllis, now known as "Ryllis" was invited to join the home of a very nice lady in Fredericton.  She will join her friend Igloo who was also part of this same colony of cats, so she will always have a friend.  Thanks SO much to her new family!  Congratulations!!

"Cherub" came to DunRoamin' on February 11, 2021 from Woodstock.  He had been outdoors and missing for two weeks.  Upon his return, it was found he was injured.

Cherub had an injured right hind ankle which required his leg to be amputated.  He also had entropion - this is where eyelashes curl inward instead of outward and scratch the eye with each blink.  This had been ongoing for quite some time and untreated.  He has undergone surgery for this and he is now perfectly fine  Cherub is a handsome orange tabby who is grateful for the medical care.  He will be an indoor cat, as all DunRoamin' cats are, so that he may remain safe for the rest of his life.  He's a beautiful boy.

On March 20, 2021, Cherub went to stay with his friends at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, NB, where he hopes to meet his new family.  Please come check out this place - it's fantastic!!  The staff is amazing and you'll love the coffee and treats as well!

"Ferret" came to DunRoamin' on February 4, 2021 from a colony of 62 that was growing unchecked.  They all required medical intervention and nutritious food.

Ferret was born about February 4, 2020 and he had  a nasal discharge as a result of upper respiratory infection and parasites, which are being treated.  Ferret has one blue eye.

With the exception of little Badger, all are only about three years of age or younger.

On March 20, 2021, Ferret went to stay with his friends at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, NB, where he hoped to meet his new family.  Please come check out this place - it's fantastic!!  The staff is amazing and you'll love the coffee and treats as well!

On March 27, 2021, Ferret was so happy to learn that he had been adopted by a young couple from Fredericton to be a new friend for ex-DunRoamin' stray Josh, now named Nellie!  Congratulations!  Send lots of photos and let us know how wonderful your new life is!!

"Aldren" came to DunRoamin' on January 14, 2021 from a colony of 62 that was growing unchecked.  Aldren had upper respiratory infection, ear mites, debris in his left ear and was underweight, weighing only five pounds at the age of two years.  He was born about January 14, 2019.

Aldren is a beautiful white boy with bright yellow eyes.  He received all required medical care and is neutered, tested for FIV and FeLV.  As he has never been without multiple feline friends, it is our wish (and his) that he may be adopted with at least one other friend/sibling so that he may continue to experience the feline companionship which makes him so comfortable.

"Trebek" came to us on February 21, 2021 from the Florenceville-Bristol area where he had been found in very bad shape.  His ear tips had fallen off due to frostbite, he was very thin, very hungry and cold, he was not neutered, had very dirty ears and had injuries to his foot pads.  Trebek was born about February 22, 2019, so was about two years old.

Trebek underwent medical care to help him become healthy and strong again.  He was monitored for weight as he was not eating well but with the help of his new friends, he was soon doing very well.  He had obviously not had a great life so far, but once he was treated for all his medical problems/conditions, neutered, fully vaccinated and treated for all parasites he felt much better - he deserves at least this.  He is a very curious boy who loves to interact with humans, and if you open a door, he is the first one through it to explore on the other side!

On March 27, 2021, Trebek was adopted by a young lady from Moncton who had fallen for him on Day 1.  She couldn't get him out of her mind, so he decided he'd like to live with her forever!  Congratulations!  Don't forget to write!!

Despite his medical woes, Clement is a beautiful and friendly little boy.  He was born about December 13, 2015 and is a sibling to Shay, Igloo, Augustus and Prancer.  He loves people, loves affection and loves to spend time with other cats.  They all sleep together and twine themselves around each other for love and comfort.  He is now neutered and his vaccine protocol is complete.  He also tested negative for FIV and FeLV.

It is our hope and wish that Clement may be adopted with a sibling or friend, as all of these cats have never been without multiple cats in their life - they love to sleep, cuddle and play together.

Bough is a very sweet boy who is happy to have human and feline interaction at all times - he LOVES people and he LOVES cats!  He hopes, once he is completely healthy, that he may be adopted to a loving home with at least one other cat - he has never been without multiple cats with whom to sleep, cuddle and play.  He is exceptionally affectionate and loves to be held and cuddled.

On March 10, 2021, Bough was very happy to learn that he had been chosen to be a new friend for Simba.  They both live happily in Fredericton where they are both living the life of which they have always dreamed.  Congratulations, Bough.  Please write soon!

"Tatum" came to DunRoamin' on January 14, 2021 from a colony of dozens that was growing unchecked.  She was born about January 14, 2020 and was relatively healthy, although she had ear mites, some upper respiratory infection and was skinny, weighing less than four pounds at one year of age.  She was provided with medication for her respiratory infection and receives all the nutritious food she wants so she can put on some weight.

Tatum is a sweet little girl with gorgeous copper-coloured eyes who looks forward to a new home now that she is spayed, treated for parasites, fully vaccinated and tested for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus and Feline Leukemia.  She has never been without a multitude of other cats and it is her wish (and ours) that she will be fortunate enough to be adopted to a home with one of her friends or siblings so that she may thrive in the comfort and love of another feline while she is doted upon by her new loving family.

On January 30, 2021, Tatum went to spend some time with her friends at The Purrfect Cup, Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, NB, where she hoped to meet her new family.  Please check out this fantastic cat cafe - you'll love it there!

On February 6, 2021, both Tatum and her best friend Phineas (see below) were adopted by a wonderful family in Fredericton, but unfortunately, allergies prohibited them from staying in the household, so they came back to us to find a new home.

On March 6, 2020, both Tatum and her friend Phineas (see below) were adopted to a very nice home in Fredericton where they will continue to be each other's best friend while they enjoy being loved and spoiled by their new family.  Congratulations to all!

"Phineas" came to DunRoamin' on November 28, 2020 with his sisters  Poupoune, Passion and Promise.  Born about September 18, 2020, they had been found all alone at the end of a driveway in Beechwood, NB and no one was able to take care of them.

Phineas and his siblings were friendly, obviously having been around people before, but they had ear mites and gastro-intestinal parasites.  They also initially tested positive for Feline Leukemia.  They were segregated, then retested several weeks later at which time they tested negative, so they are 100% good to go!

All four kittens were fostered by our good friends in Bath, NB, where they learned kindness, love, compassion and good kitten skills.  They are now spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus and are ready for new homes!  They are extremely cute and loving little fur balls and it is our hope that they can be adopted in pairs since they have never been alone before.

On January 30, 2021, Phineas went to spend some time with his friends at The Purrfect Cup, Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, NB, where he hoped to meet his new family.  Please check out this fantastic cat cafe - you'll love it there!

Burrows is long-haired and Vogue is short-haired.  They look forward to a warm home for the winter where they will be loved and get to live out the rest of their lives saying thank you to their new family.  On January 9, 2021, Burrows and Vogue went to spend some time with our friends at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton.  Stop in and check it out - you'll LOVE it - we do!!

On March 6, 2021, Burrows and Vogue were SO excited to learn that they would now spend the rest of their lives together in Moncton where they will be spoiled beyond their wildest dreams.  Congratulations, you two beauties!  Send lots of photos - your foster mother will be looking forward to seeing them - we all will!!

"Rubble" came to us on February 2, 2021, from the Florenceville area where he was a stray who was trying to survive on his own.  Kind people noticed that he had needed help for some time and as no one was able to help him, he came to us.  He had several issues, including being constipated, very hungry, thirsty and was full of burdocks and matted to a very uncomfortable degree.

Rubble has been examined, diagnosed and treated by a vet.  He's now perfect again!  Thanks to his rescuers who recognized his dire straits, brought him for help and left a generous donation to help with his care.  Rubble was soon ready for a home and was looking forward to being a house cat, a cuddle cat and a best friend.

On February 27, 2020, Rubble went to spend some time with his friends at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, NB, where he hoped to meet his new family.  Please come check out this place - it's fantastic!!  The snacks and coffee are great, and the staff is fantastic!

On March 6, 2021, Rubble was elated to leave for his new home in Fredericton where he will be spoiled rotten - just the way it should be for such a beautiful boy.  Write soon, Rubble!!

"Marmot" came to DunRoamin' on February 4, 2021 from a colony of 62 that was growing unchecked.  They all required medical intervention and nutritious food.  Marmot is a little boy.  He had good teeth but had parasites and upper respiratory infection.  Marmot was born about February 4, 2020.

Marmot was initially very shy but has come around, now that he is very sure he is safe, loved and will always have food in his dish!  He loves to have his belly rubbed and loves to be in the company of both cats and humans.

On February 20, 2021, Marmot and five of his friends went to spend some time at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, NB, where they hope to meet their new family.  Please come check out this place - it's fantastic!!  The snacks and coffee are great, and the staff is fantastic!

On March 6, 2021, Marmot was excited to be chosen as the newest member of a family in Fredericton where he will be a new brother for his canine friend, Steve.  Congratulations, Marmot!  Send lots of photos!!

"Kent" came to DunRoamin' on January 14, 2021 from a colony of 62 that was growing unchecked.  He was born about January 14, 2017.

Kent is a very nice boy who loves his friends very much.  He has a corneal scar on his left eye as a result of his upper respiratory infection and required dental work which included removing all but four of his teeth.  He is now fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV, treated for all parasites and neutered.  He is ready for a home as soon as he meets that special person.  Kent is playful and affectionate and loves sleeping in a cat pile.  He is the first to start a game of tag and loves his friends.

As these little guys have never been without multiple cats in their lives, they do not fare well alone, and Kaplan (see below) is his very best friend..  For this reason, we ask that they be adopted in pairs or to homes that already have cats.  They are very bonded and ready to join a family now.

On February 6, 2021, Kent, Kaplan and five of their friends went to spend some time at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, NB, where they hoped to meet their new family.  Please come check out this place - it's fantastic!!  The snacks and coffee are great, and the staff is fantastic, too!!

On February 27, 2021, we were very pleased to learn that a young lady from Fredericton had met and fallen in love with both of these gorgeous little boys.  They now live happily ever after in her home.  Thank you so much!  Please send photos!  We can't wait to see them in their new home!

"Kaplan" came to DunRoamin' on January 14, 2021 from a colony of 62 that was growing unchecked.   Born about January 14, 2016, Kaplan is a beautiful buff orange and white boy with gorgeous copper-coloured eyes.  He had a bit of upper respiratory infection and stomatitis, and he required dental intervention to remove 18 teeth that were all infected, but he is now good to go!

Kaplan is not the least bit shy.  He loves his friends and siblings (his very best friend is Kent with whom he has become bonded) - see below) and likes humans almost as well.  As these cats have never been without multiple other felines in their lives, it is our hope and wish that he may be adopted with one of his friends.  They show signs of being stressed when out of sight or sound of their friends and we hope they may be adopted in pairs or at least to a home with another cat with whom they may bond again.  All are extremely loving and attentive to humans

On February 6, 2021, he and six of his friends went to spend some time at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, NB, where they hope to meet their new family.  Please come check out this place - it's fantastic!!  The snacks and coffee are great, and the staff is amazing and wonderful too!!

On February 27, 2021, Kaplan was elated to learn that both he and his friend Kent (see above) had been invited to join a family in Fredericton where they will be spoiled beyond their dreams!  Congratulations!  Please write soon!

"Manyana" came to DunRoamin' on January 14, 2021 from a colony of 62 that was growing unchecked.  Manyana had upper respiratory infection, a heart murmur, was very thin and had inflammation in the back of her throat.  She is currently on medication and being observed very closely by her vet at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic to ensure she has the very best of medical care available.

Manyana was born about July 20, 2020 and has one blue eye.  She is very sweet, but has required much medical assistance to become strong and healthy - she's doing very well!  She has never been without other cats and is grateful for feline company, companionship and the warm heartbeat of a friend to comfort her.

On February 27, 2021, Manyana was chosen by a young lady from Quispamsis to join her family.  And since Manyana asked for another feline friend to go along, Koala (see above) joined her!  Congratulations to you and your new family!  Write soon!

"Neige"came to DunRoamin' on December 12, 2020 from a colony of 62 that was growing unchecked.  Neige was born about June 13, 2020.  Neige was emaciated, missing ten teeth and dental intervention was required to remove eight more teeth.  She also had stomatitis and flea allergy dermatitis.  She was soon putting on weight but then developed an upper respiratory infection which was treated by her friends at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic - which means she'll be fine very soon..

Neige is a sweet little orange tabby girl.  She is exceptionally friendly and loving, as are all these cats and kittens, happy to be warm, fed and on their way back to good health.  Neige hopes to go to a home with one of her siblings as she has never been without several cats with whom to sleep, play and cuddle.

On February 10, 2021, she went to spend some time at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, NB, where she hoped to meet her new family.  Please come check out this place - it's fantastic!!  The snacks and coffee are great, and the staff is amazing and wonderful too!!

Gopher was born about February 4, 2019.  He had nasal discharge as a result of upper respiratory infection and parasites, which have been treated.  Gopher required all but 16 of his teeth to be removed.

With the exception of little Badger, all are only about three years of age or younger.

On February 20, 2021, Gopher and five of his friends went to spend some time at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, NB, where they hope to meet their new family.  Please come check out this place - it's fantastic!!  The snacks and coffee are great, and the staff is fantastic!

Falcon was born about February 4, 2018. He was thin, had parasites, an upper respiratory infection and required dental intervention which required the removal of many infected teeth - that must have been painful!

With the exception of little Badger, all are only about three years of age or younger.

"Turtle" came to DunRoamin' on February 4, 2021 from a colony of 62 that was growing unchecked.  They all required medical intervention and nutritious food.

Turtle was born about February 4, 2020.  She had parasites and required dental cleaning.  Now that she is feeling so much better, Turtle's real personality is coming out - and she definitely has personality!  She is a playful, attentive, purring and loving little fur ball who just wants to be with humans at all times, especially if they'll be patting and cuddling her!

With the exception of little Badger, all are only about three years of age or younger.

On February 25, 2021, Turtle's dream came true when she was adopted by a very nice young couple from Gagetown.  She will now live happily ever after with her new feline friend and her two human servants.  Congratulations, Turtle!  Write soon!

She was placed on medication to help with her upper respiratory infection - now she just needs to put on weight as she starts to feel better.  She is currently eating a Hypo allergenic diet and is doing very well.  She'd like to thank her foster mother for all her help!

On February 21, 2021, Purrdue was adopted by a young lady from Fredericton who thought she was the most perfect being she had ever seen!  It was love at first sight.  Congratulations, Purrdue!  Write soon, and send lots of photos!!

"Armadillo" came to DunRoamin' on February 4, 2021 from a colony of 62 that was growing unchecked.  They all required medical intervention and nutritious food.

This little boy had ear mites, parasites and upper respiratory infection, all of which have been treated.  He is initially shy, but once he gets to know you, his favourite thing is a belly rub.  He is a gorgeous little boy.

With the exception of little Badger, all are only about three years of age or younger.

On February 21, 2021, Armadillo was pleased to learn that his skills in attracting young women were still in fine shape!  He gained the love of a young lady who is employed by The Purrfect Cup and is now a full-fledged member of her family where he will be spoiled more than he had ever dreamed possible.  Congratulations, Armadillo!  Don't forget to write!  We are so  happy for you!

"Cheer" came to DunRoamin' on December 11, 2020 from a colony of 62 that was growing unchecked - they needed help.  Cheer was born about August 11, 2020.  Cheer was underweight, dehydrated, had severe ear mites, fleas, upper respiratory infection, infected eyes and has a luxating patella on her left hind leg (kneecap moves in and out of joint).

Cheer received the best of medical care from her new vet friend at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic and was soon doing very well.  She gained weight as she enjoyed lots of nutritious food and her eyes were better very soon thanks to the surgery she underwent to repair them!  She is now completely up to date on her spay and vaccines!  Cheer had to have eight teeth extracted, leaving her with just 12, as some were already missing.

It is our hope and wish that these kittens may be adopted in pairs, or at least to a home that already has feline family members as they have never been without other cats and appear to be very bonded to each other.

On February 20, 2021, Cheer was adopted by a very nice couple from Saint John where she will have another feline friend to keep her company - as well as humans to wait on her every whim!  Congratulations, Cheer!  We are so happy for you!  You have come such a long way and we are happy that you have had so many caring people in your life to help you get to this wonderful place!

"Shay" came to DunRoamin' on December 12, 2020 from a colony of 62 that was growing unchecked.  She had ear mites, upper respiratory infection, flea allergy dermatitis and her teeth were in such a state that she required all of her remaining 24 to be removed.

Shay was born about December 13, 2019 and is a sibling to Tannon, Igloo, Augustus and Prancer.  She is now spayed, tested for FIV and FeLV and is fully vaccinated.  On January 14, 2020, she underwent her dental surgery to remove all her remaining 24 teeth (six were already missing) and she is happy to have that pain gone.

She now hopes for a wonderful home where she will have servants of her very own.  She is a beautiful tortie who also claims to be the prettiest girl in the room!  It is our hope and wish that these cats and kittens may be adopted in pairs, or at least to a home that already has feline family members, as they have never been without other cats and appear to be very bonded to each other.

On February 20, 2021, Shay was elated to be chosen along with her friend Tia (see below) to join a family in Saint John where they will live happily ever after.  Congratulations to everyone!  Please stay in touch and send lots of photos!

"Tia" came to DunRoamin' on January 14, 2021 from a colony of 62 that was growing unchecked.   Born about January 14, 2017, Tia weighed only about four and a half pounds.  Her mouth was very painful and she required dental intervention to remove 11 teeth, leaving 19 remaining.  She had greatly increased lung sounds on her initial exam but she is now much better due to good nutrition, love and care she has received from the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic and her DunRoamin' servants.

Tia is a beautiful buff orange little girl who is very loving and affectionate, even though we were strangers to her.  We hope, since these cats have never been without multiple feline friends, that they may be adopted in pairs or to a home that already has felines so that they may never be lonely.

On February 6, 2021, she and six of her friends went to spend some time at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, NB, where they hope to meet their new family.  Please come check out this place - it's fantastic!!  The snacks and coffee are great, and the staff is wonderful too!!

On February 20, 2021, Tia was adopted by a very nice family in Fredericton - and her friend Eira was invited to join the family also!  Congratulations - you are very lucky little girls!  Please send lots of photos and tell us all about your new life!  Thanks to all your friends at the Purrfect Cup for taking such good care of you!

"Eira" came to DunRoamin' on December 12, 2020 from a colony of 62 that was growing unchecked.  Born about June 13, 2020, she had upper respiratory infection fleas and ear mites.

Eira is a beautiful tortie girl who was so looking forward to a new home as soon as she was healthy, spayed, vaccinated and certified fit for service as a new best friend for some lucky human(s)!  She has beautiful markings (she says she's the prettiest girl in the room!) and is anxious to begin a new life with a family that will appreciate her beauty!  Eira had to have all but two teeth removed, and is feeling so much better.  She still eats dry food - they don't seem to be affected by missing teeth, other than to be happy not to have the pain of aching teeth anymore.

Eira is a sibling to Forest, Cadeau, Amaryllis and Neige.  She has never been alone in her entire life and loves sleeping in cat piles and playing with other feline friends.

On February 20, 2021, Eira was adopted with her friend Tia (see above) to a wonderful family in Fredericton where they will live happily ever after, spoiled beyond their wildest dreams.  Congratulations!  You have exactly the life you deserve.  Write soon!

"Alpaca" came to DunRoamin' on February 4, 2021 from a colony of 62 that was growing unchecked.   They all required medical intervention and nutritious food.  Alpaca was born about February 4, 2020 and he had parasites which included worms and fleas.

As per our standards, he was neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV, and treated for all parasites.

It is their wish (and ours!) that all these little ones go to homes in pairs or to a home with an existing cat(s) of approximately the same age as they have never been without multiple other cats in their lives.  With the exception of little Badger, all are only about three years of age or younger.

Alpaca is very outgoing, friendly and lovable.  And his energy and joy for life is boundless!  If you want a cat who will always be at your side, he's your boy!!

On February 20, 2021, Alpaca was adopted by a young man in Fredericton where he will have a new brother, Hobbes, who is much the same in colour, and in energy!  They'll make perfect brothers.  Congratulations, Alpaca!  Write soon!

"Maya" came to DunRoamin' on June 8, 2020 from Woodstock where she had been taken in by a person who knew she needed help, but was not able to provide the necessary care.  Maya was born about July 8, 2011.

Maya immediately went to the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic for assessment and diagnosis where it was learned that she was lean, had moderate tartar, gingivitis and was diabetic.  It appears she had never been spayed.

Maya is now on a diabetic diet and she requires insulin twice a day - no big deal!  It's very inexpensive and she doesn't mind taking it, not even a little bit!  She is a very sweet little girl who wants only to have a home and family where she will be safe, healthy and loved.  She has been fostered by her friend Ashley since October 30, 2020 and had quickly decided she was never leaving that  home!

On February 14, 2021, Maya finally convinced her foster mom that she should be a permanent family member (not that it took much work!).  She is adamant that her foster mother should be her full-time mother and even promised to be really good (for a day or two . . .!) if she could just be permanent.  And how could her mother resist that?   Congratulations, Maya.  You are right where you should be (and have been since October!)

"Tannon" came to DunRoamin' on December 12, 2020 from a colony of 62 that was growing unchecked.   Tannon was born about December 13, 2019.

Tannon had an infected scab on his right shoulder, he required major dental work, had stomatitis, fleas, ear mites and upper respiratory infection.  His eyes were sore and he frequently stuck his tongue out, probably from discomfort associated with a stuffed-up nose.  He was prescribed medication and was soon fine with all the help he received from his friends at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic.  He required to have all but three teeth removed and feels so much better - we all know how much teeth can hurt when they are not in good shape!  He worked hard to get over his upper respiratory infection and is anxious for a home.  He can't wait, but he really needs to be in a home with at least one other cat - he's very attached to his feline family.  He is a small cat but his personality and love for cats and humans are huge!

Tannon is a very sweet boy.  He loves people and other cats, loves to play and is one of the very first to come ask for affection.  He is grateful for good food and the care he has received from his new staff at DunRoamin'.  He is a grey tabby with black rings, but his back is mottled as opposed to having typical tabby rings - he is GORGEOUS (and he knows it!)  Tannon would like to be adopted with a friend - he has never been without multiple cats with whom to play, sleep and cuddle.

On February 13, 2021, Tannon was adopted by a very nice lady from Charters Settlement where he now lives happily ever after with his new feline friend Jake.  Congratulations to everyone.  Send lots of photos and let us know all the wonderful new things you are experiencing, Tannon. We'll miss you!

"Ricochet" came to DunRoamin' on December 1, 2020 from Beechwood.  Born about June 28, 2020, he had been experiencing diarrhea and his owners could not care for him, so he was surrendered to DunRoamin' to receive medical help.

Ricochet is a gorgeous little boy who is always on the go.  He loves to run, play, chase toys and he is always as close to a human as he can possibly get. He talks constantly and is currently on medication to help with his diarrhea and we hope he will soon be fine, but may require some minor ongoing medication.  He is currently eating a Royal Canin Fibre diet which he may need for life to control this diarrhea.  His right hind leg sometimes turns inward a bit, but it does not seem to bother him and we're thinking he may outgrow it, now that he has lots of good nutrition to help his body heal and grow.

Ricochet has completed his protocol of vaccines, neuter, parasite control and FIV/FeLV testing and is ready to go to a home really soon.  In the meantime, he is great entertainment - he is full of life, energy and love!

On February 6, 2021, Ricochet was adopted by a very nice lady from Oromocto where he will be a new friend for Folsom who was adopted just a week ago!  Congratulations to everyone!  Write soon, and send lots of photos!!  Your foster mom will miss your antics!

"Cadeau" came to DunRoamin' on December 12, 2020 from a colony of 62 that was growing unchecked.  Cadeau was born about June 13, 2020, so is a sister to Amaryllis, Neige, Eira and Forest.

Cadeau was underweight, had ear mites, fleas and juvenile stomatitis which means she required dental intervention.  She also had upper respiratory infection, as did all these cats.  On January 21, 2021, Cadeau was spayed and required all teeth except for her fangs to be removed due to the poor oral health she had experienced.  She is now 100% fine and feels so much better now that she has no pain in her mouth.  She is still capable and happy to eat dry food but also might enjoy a bit of wet food.

Cadeau received appropriate medication and underwent dental surgery and is now perfect!  She is looking forward to a loving home where she can live out her life happily.  She hopes to be adopted with one of her siblings or to a home with another cat or two, as she has never been without other cats with whom to sleep, cuddle and play. She is friendly, outgoing, affectionate and loving, as are all these little ones.

On February 13, 2021, Cadeau was so happy to meet her new family from Fredericton.  She now lives happily with a young lady who will love her forever and ensure she has the best of home, love and care.  Congratulations, Cadeau!  We are very grateful that you have such a wonderful life ahead of you!  Write soon!

"Vida" came to DunRoamin' on January 14, 2021 from a colony of 62 that was growing unchecked.   Born about January 14, 2020, Vida had ear mites and a minor case of upper respiratory infection.  She was slightly timid, but that was okay, because her entire world just changed.  She has acclimatized and was spayed on January 16, 2020.  She also received her final vaccines and has tested negative for FIV and FeLV, so is ready for a new home.

All these cats have never been without multiple feline friends and it is our wish and theirs that they may be adopted with a sibling or friend.

Vida initially required dental assistance, treatment for upper respiratory infection and increased lung sounds but is now ready to go to a home.  She can't wait!

On February 13, 2021, Vida was so happy to learn that she had been chosen by a very nice young family in Rusagonis where she now lives happily ever after with her newest best friend.  And as an added surprise, her friend Fox (see below) got to go too!  We are so grateful that you have both each other and a family who will love and care for you forever!  Congratulations!  Write soon!

"Fox" came to DunRoamin' on January 14, 2021 from a colony of 62 that was growing unchecked.   Fox was born about January 14 2015.  He weighed six pounds upon his arrival, was dehydrated, had ear mites and had several bad teeth.  He underwent surgery on January 16, 2021 to have all but four teeth removed.  He feels SO much better!

Fox is a very nice, quiet, affectionate, loving little boy.  He is now neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and is anxious to go to a new home as soon as possible.  He hopes he can take a friend with him - he definitely needs another cat in his life - he has lived with more than 62!  He hopes he'll get an invitation very soon.

On February 6, 2021, Fox and six of his friends went to spend some time at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, NB, where they hoped to meet their new family.  Please come check out this place - it's fantastic!!  The snacks and coffee are great, and the staff is wonderful too!!

On February 13, 2021, Fox was SO happy to learn that he had been adopted by a young lady and her family from Rusagonis.  And Vida got to go along with him!  We are so happy for both of you!  Please remind your new family to take lots of photos - we know they will - they love doing that!  Congratulations to you and your new family!

"Hadleigh" came to DunRoamin' on January 14, 2021 from a colony of 62 that was growing unchecked.  Born about January 14, 2019, Hadleigh was about two years old and weighed only 3.7 pounds.  She was underweight, had upper respiratory infection and a left luxating patella (her kneecap may move in and out of place).  This is not an unusual occurrence in cats and many have no problem with it at all.  Hadleigh is a beautiful white girl with some grey tabby markings also.  Hadleigh is currently very grateful for all the food she can eat and is putting on weight.  She is a tiny cat in stature, but certainly not in love or personality or playfulness!!  She is now spayed, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV, treated for all parasites and is very anxious to join a family.

It is her wish (and ours) that she may go to a home with a friend, or to a home that has cats now.  Having lived her entire life with many cats with whom to sleep, play and cuddle, we have found that she requires the comfort of another cat to feel safe.

On February 13, 2021, Hadleigh was happy to go to her new home in Fredericton with the wonderful family who had chosen both her and her friend Augustus (see below) to join them.  She now has a whole family dedicated to her and to her every whim!  Congratulations, Hadleigh.  Please send lots of photos.  We are SO happy for you and Augustus!

"Augustus" came to DunRoamin' on December 12, 2020 from a colony of 62 that was growing unchecked.  Born about December 13, 2019, he is a sibling to Shay, Tannon, Igloo and Prancer.

Augustus is a beautiful little boy.  As with all his friends and family, he is loving, affectionate and playful.  All these little ones love people and other cats - they play, sleep, cuddle and love to be with other cats.

Augustus had flea allergy dermatitis, ear mites, upper respiratory infection and his left eye was non-functional, no doubt due to upper respiratory infection that went untreated.  On January 21, 2021, his left eye was removed, he was neutered and he underwent dental surgery to remove all but four teeth - his fangs.  He is now feeling SO much better and definitely more comfortable.   He is happy to eat dry food even without all his teeth, but he would certainly enjoy a bit of canned food now and then, too!  It is our hope that Augustus may be adopted to a home with a sibling as these cats have never been without multiple cats in their lives.  They love to play, sleep and cuddle together, and they love humans almost as much!  Augustus is exceptionally lovable and affectionate.

On February 6, 2020, Augustus and six of his friends went to spend some time at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, NB, where they hoped to meet their new family.  Please come check out this place - it's fantastic!!  The snacks and coffee are great, and the staff is wonderful too!!

On February 13, 2021, Augustus was elated to meet the family he would be part of for the rest of his life, where he would be safe, warm, fed and loved forever.  And his friend Hadleigh (see above) was also invited to join the family, so they will be together forever.  Congratulations, Augustus!  Don't forget to write often.  We will miss you!

"North" came to DunRoamin' on December 12, 2020 from a colony of 62 that was growing unchecked.  North was born about September 20, 2020 and is a beautiful calico little girl who is a sibling to North, Crystal, Ives and Ribbon.

North had severe upper respiratory infection, flea allergy dermatitis and ear mites.  She has been on medication since her arrival for her severe eye infection and is doing better day by day - she has the very best of care from her staff at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic.    She required surgery on her eyes to fix her third eyelids which were preventing her eyes from opening properly and she is now just fine!

It was our hope and wish that these kittens may be adopted in pairs, or at least to a home that already had feline family members as they have never been without other cats and appear to be very bonded to each other.

On February 12, 2021, North was adopted along with her friend Frog (see below) to a family in Florenceville-Bristol where they will both live happily ever after.  Congratulations!  Send lots of photos!!

"Frog" came to DunRoamin' on February 4, 2021 from a colony of 62 that was growing unchecked.   They all required medical intervention and nutritious food.

Frog was born about February 4, 2020, was thin, had parasites and she also had a case of diarrhea.

As per our standards, all our cats will be brought back to health, spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV, and treated for all parasites as well as any other medical conditions with which they require assistance to become fully healthy and happy little beings.

It is their wish (and ours!) that these little ones go to homes in pairs or to a home with an existing cat(s) of approximately the same age as they have never been without multiple other cats in their lives.  With the exception of little Badger, all are only about three years of age or younger.

On February 12, 2021, Frog was officially proclaimed a permanent member of a very nice family in Florenceville-Bristol.  And to his delight, his friend North (see above) got to go, too!  Congratulations to everyone!  Write soon!!

"Crystal" came to DunRoamin' on December 12, 2020 from a colony of 62 that was growing unchecked.  Crystal was born about September 20, 2020.  She had severe ear mites, stomatitis, infected eyes and fleas.  She is spayed, tested, and fully vaccinated.

Crystal was fostered by a family in Coldstream, then in Florenceville where she received much love and care.  We are so grateful to our foster families who make such a huge difference in the lives of these beautiful little furballs.

On February 9, 2021, Crystal was adopted to a home in Riverview where she will be a sister to Mr Small, a beautiful white little boy who is just a few weeks older than Crystal.  They look very much alike and we look forward to many more photos.  Thanks very much!  Congratulations!!

"Ives" came to DunRoamin' on December 11, 2020 from a colony of dozens that was growing unchecked - they needed help.  Ives was underweight, dehydrated, had severe ear mites, fleas, conjunctivitis and ocular discharge as well as upper respiratory infection and gastro-intestinal parasites.  Ives was born about September 18, 2020, so was only about three months old.

Ives is a very sweet little boy.  We hoped we might help him become well quickly so that he may be adopted, leaving room for more of his friends to come in for help.  He loves his friends Crystal, Fezz and Ribbon and we hope they may be adopted in pairs so that they will always have the feline company and the closeness with which they have grown up.  Thank you for your support of these beautiful little kittens - they can't wait for a new life and home!

On January 30, 2021, Ives went to spend some time with his friends at The Purrfect Cup, Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, NB, where he hoped to meet his new family.  Please check out this fantastic cat cafe - you'll love it there!

On February 6, 2021, Ives was SO excited to learn that he had been offered a new home with a very nice young couple who would love and care for him forever!  And guess what??  His best buddy Fezz got to go with him!  Congratulations to both of you and to your wonderful adopters - you all have it made, now!  Thanks for adopting them together - we know they will thank you every single day of their lives!  Don't forget to write, boys!!  We can't wait to hear about your new life!

"Fezz" came to DunRoamin' on December 11, 2020 from a colony of dozens that was growing unchecked - they needed help.  Fezz was born about October 16, 2020 and was underweight, dehydrated, had severe ear mites, fleas, upper respiratory infection, infected eyes and gastro-intestinal parasites.  He is all white with one small buff orange patch on his head.

With lots of nutritious food and medical attention from his new friends, Fezz was soon doing much better.  He is loving, playful and loved cuddling with his friends Ives, Ribbon and Crystal and we hope they all might go to homes in pairs - they have always had many other kittens with whom to play and keep company and we hope they can stay together - they've been through a lot.

On January 30, 2021, Fezz went to spend some time with his friends at The Purrfect Cup, Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, NB, where he hoped to meet his new family.  Please check out this fantastic cat cafe - you'll love it there!

On February 6, 2021, Fezz met a very nice couple who fell in love with him immediately!  As volunteers at The Purrfect Cup, they really had no choice but to do so - Fezz is a sweetheart!  And . . . to make Fezz's day (and life!) Ives (see above) was invited to come along also so each would always have a feline friend to keep them company!  Thank you so much to this wonderful young couple!  Congratulations to all!  Send lots of photos!!

"Oaklyn" came to DunRoamin' on January 14, 2021 from a colony of dozens that was growing unchecked.  Born about January 14, 2019, Oaklyn had ear mites and was missing two incisors.  She was timid, but this was okay, because her world had changed entirely.  She soon adjusted to her new friends and Oaklyn will be the kind of kitty companion who always wants to be in the same room as her family, whether it be human or feline - she needs that companionship and she LOVES people and other cats!

Oaklyn has received her full vaccines, is spayed, tested negative for FIV and FeLV and treated for parasite control, as well as antibiotics to help with her upper respiratory infection.  She'd love to be in a nice warm house with lots of food and lots of servants to wait on her and grant her every wish.

On January 30, 2021, Oaklyn went to spend some time with her friends at The Purrfect Cup, Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, NB, where she hopes to meet her new family.  Please check out this fantastic cat cafe - you'll love it there!

On February 6, 2021, Oaklyn was chosen by a very nice young lady who is also a Veterinary Technician.  She will have feline family as well as human and she is so grateful to her friends at The Purrfect Cup for giving her this opportunity to begin a whole new life.  She'd like to thank everyone responsible for helping her, including DunRoamin' caretakers, Florenceville Veterinary Clinic staff and all her friends at The Purrfect Cup.  Congratulations, Oaklyn - write soon!

"Folsom" came to DunRoamin' on January 14, 2021 from a colony of dozens that was growing unchecked.   A beautiful boy with two blue eyes, he had ear mites and a minor case of upper respiratory infection.  He was born about January 14, 2019.  His vaccines are complete and he was neutered on January 16, 2020.  He hoped that he might get to go to a home with a loving family who will also invite another of his siblings and/or friends or that he may join a family who already has feline members - he loves other cats and has never been without feline company.

Folsom was a bit timid due to the drastic changes in his life, but he has become much more comfortable already.  He is a beautiful little boy, and once you get a look at those gorgeous eyes, there'll be nothing more to say!

On January 30, 2021, Folsom went to spend some time with his friends at The Purrfect Cup, Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, NB, where he hoped to meet his new family.  Please check out this fantastic cat cafe - you'll love it there!

On February 6, 2021, Folsom met a lady who had already fallen head over heals for those beautiful blue eyes and a personality that matched their beauty.  And he will also have a feline friend - maybe another DunRoamin' friend in the very near future!  Folsom now lives in Oromocto where he will live happily ever after.  Congratulations, Folsom!  Tell your mom thanks and we will hopefully be adding to your family once again!

On February 6, 2021, Tatum was elated to learn that she had been chosen to be one of the two newest members of a very nice young family in Fredericton - and guess what?  Phineas (see below) got to go with her!  They have it made for life now, with a wonderful family and a wonderful future ahead of them.  Congratulations!  Thanks to your new family!

They are extremely cute and loving little furballs and it is our hope that they can be adopted in pairs since they have never been alone before.

On January 30, 2021, Phineas went to spend some time with his friends at The Purrfect Cup, Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, NB, where he hoped to meet his new family.  Please check out this fantastic cat cafe - you'll love it there!

On February 6, 2021, Phineas met a very nice lady from Fredericton who had fallen in love with him at first sight!  He and his friend Tatum (see above) were adopted together so that they will always have feline company, as well as two young children who will love them forever!  Congratulations, Phineas!  Write soon!

"Dickens" came to DunRoamin' on December 11, 2020 from a colony of dozens that was growing unchecked - they needed help.   He was born about September 11, 2020 and was not in good shape.  He was underweight, dehydrated, had severe ear mites, fleas, a wound on his right ankle, upper respiratory infection and gastro-intestinal parasites.  His left eye required removal due to the extent of damage caused by his upper respiratory infection, but he is taking it all in stride - he doesn't seem to be affected at all!

Dickens is a beautiful, friendly little boy.  He received the best of care from his new vet friend at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic.  He is very affectionate, playful and "bad," and therefore has earned the words he hears so often . . . "You little Dickens!"   He is fully vaccinated, neutered, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites - he's ready for a  home!!

It is our hope and wish that these kittens may be adopted in pairs, or at least to a home that already has feline family members as they have never been without other cats and appear to be very bonded to each other.

On January 30, 2021, Dickens went to spend some time with his friends at The Purrfect Cup, Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, NB, where he hoped to meet his new family.  Please check out this fantastic cat cafe - you'll love it there!

On February 6, 2021, Dickens was SO happy to learn that he had been adopted by a very nice couple from Fredericton.  He will live happily ever after and have a purring, loving little friend as well.  Congratulations to you and your new human and feline family, Dickens.  Be a good boy!  Okay - just be yourself - we all love you!!

"Schmidt" came to us on December 15, 2020.  He and his friend Lily (adopted) were part of the Woodstock Community Cat Program which is a program set up and funded by the town of Woodstock to help spay and neuter unowned cats within the town limits to help decrease the ever-growing number of homeless and feral cats.

Schmidt is a very handsome boy whose fur glows like pewter.  Although living among these mostly-feral cats, Schmidt has obviously been around humans.  He is very friendly and loves people.  He hopes only for a home of his very own where he may live safely in a warm and loving environment - those nights are pretty cold, and it's just not safe out there.  He takes a minute to warm up to people which is natural, but once he knows he is safe and will have lots of food provided by his servants, he settles in quite well!

Schmidt was born about March 26, 2020.  On January 9, 2021, he went to stay with our friends at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton.  Stop in - this cafe is fantastic, and you'll get to spend some quality time with some wonderful felines while you enjoy a great cup of coffee!!

On February 6, 2021, Schmidt was adopted by a young lady in Fredericton where he will have a wonderful life in a quiet home where he will live happily ever after.  Congratulations, Schmidt!  Have a wonderful life - don't forget to write!!

"Hiram" came to DunRoamin' on January 14, 2021 from a colony of dozens that was growing unchecked.  He was born about July 30, 2020.  Hiram had upper respiratory infection and ear mites which were immediately treated, but was otherwise healthy.  He is now tested for FIV and FeLV, fully vaccinated, treated for all parasites and neutered.

Hiram is a very sweet little boy who is full of energy and love.  He is the first one to check out everything, he plays more often than anyone and he LOVES people!  If you're looking for a cute, energetic, loving, funny, entertaining little kitten, he's your boy!  Due to his high energy and the fact that he has never been without numerous other cats in his life, it is his wish (and ours) that he be adopted to a home that has at least one other cat who is young enough to keep up with him!  He has several friends who fit that bill, so he'd like to be adopted with one of his friends or siblings, if possible!

On January 30, 2021, Hiram went to spend some time with his friends at The Purrfect Cup, Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, NB, where he hopes to meet his new family.  Please check out this fantastic cat cafe - you'll love it there!

"Otter" came to DunRoamin' on January 14, 2021 from a colony of dozens that was growing unchecked.  Otter is a nice, quiet little boy who weighed about 7.4 pounds on his arrival, but was soon doing well with lots of love, care and attention.  He has a left luxating patella (kneecap may slip in and out of place) but this can be a relatively common occurrence in cats and may cause him no discomfort at all.

Otter was born about January 14, 2020 and is a handsome, affectionate, loving and outgoing little guy.  He is one of the first to demand attention, and is certainly up for a pat or a scratch behind his ears!  He is now neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV, treated for all parasites and is looking forward to being invited to join a new family.  He hopes he may be adopted with a friend or go to a home that already has a cat, as he has never been without feline friends.

On January 30, 2021, Otter went to spend some time with his friends at The Purrfect Cup, Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, NB, where he hopes to meet his new family.  Please check out this fantastic cat cafe - you'll love it there!

On February 6, 2021, we are so happy to announce that Otter went to join a family in Fredericton where he will have both feline and human company.  Congratulations, Otter, and congratulations to your new family.  Write soon and send lots of photos!!

"Noble" came to DunRoamin' on June 25, 2020, one of 22 cats brought to us by the NB SPCA on that date.   Barnes had ear mites, conjunctivitis, was lean and had moderate gingivitis around his lower canine teeth. Born about March 3, 2019, he was battling upper respiratory infection, but was soon fine, thanks to all the care he received from his new best vet friend.

Noble and his very best friend, Barnes are very bonded with each other - they cuddle, sleep and play together constantly.  It was his wish (and ours) that they might be adopted together so that they may enjoy a wonderful life that will make them forget about their first few years - they'll have only the best of everything!  As of September 7, 2020, Nobel was fostered with Barnes and he's loving it!!

All four kittens were fostered by our good friends in Bath, NB, where they learned kindness, love, compassion and good kitten skills.  They are now spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus and are ready for new homes!  They are extremely cute and loving little furballs and it is our hope that they can be adopted in pairs since they have never been alone before.

On January 24, 2021, Promise was so happy to learn that she had been adopted by a very nice lady in Fredericton where she will spend the rest of her life.  She is especially pleased that her sister, Promise (see below) is going with her, so they will always have their sister with who to cuddle, run and play!  Congratulations!  Have a wonderful life!  Send lots of photos!!

"Brewster" came to DunRoamin' on January 14, 2021 from a colony of dozens that was growing unchecked.  Brewster had ear mites but was otherwise healthy.  Born about September 25, 2020, he is a gorgeous bright and shiny white little boy whose left eye is a beautiful blue.  He has been neutered, tested for FIV and FeLV, treated for all parasites and has completed his vaccine protocol.  He's ready for a new home!  He hopes he can go to a home with one of his friends or siblings, as they have never been alone or without other cats.

On January 23, 2021, Brewster was excited to learn that he and his friend Brielle (see below) had been invited to join a family in Woodstock where they will live happily ever after with their new young human and his parents.  Congratulations!  Send lots of photos!!

Igloo was underweight and had ear mites and fleas.  She received good nutrition and all medical care required - now she just needs to put on some weight, which she is happy to do!  She is a beautiful grey tabby with some gold interspersed - she is gorgeous (but she doesn't know it!)

It is our hope and wish that these cats may be adopted in pairs, or at least to a home that already has feline family members as they have never been without other cats and appear to be very bonded to each other.

On January 20, 2021, Igloo was SO happy to learn that she had been invited to join the family of a very nice lady in Fredericton.  And guess what?   Her brother Prancer got to go too!!  Congratulations!  Thanks to your new family for keeping you together!  That is WONDERFUL!  Write lots of letters - we'll miss you both!

"Decimal" came to us from the Somerville area on November 6, 2020, where she was part of a colony of cats that a lady was trying to help by getting them all spayed/neutered and finding them homes or warm barns so they would not have to attempt to survive another cold winter on their own.  As there was no other place for Decimal to go and she was not feral, she came to us.  She had the beginnings of a prolapsed rectum, but her vet quickly fixed that up and she is now purrfectly fine!  She was on stool softeners for a short time, but now requires no medication - she's perfect!!  She was born about April 19, 2020.

Decimal was initially timid but has learned to trust very quickly.  She LOVES a good belly rub and that's one of the ways to her heart!  She would love to have a home with at least one other cat because she loves feline company.

On January 9, 2021, Decimal went to spend some time with our friends at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, where she hopes to meet her new family.  Check it out - you'll LOVE it - we do!!  Please check out their Facebook page!

On January 18, 2021, we are pleased to announce that Decimal went to join her new family.  She now lives with a young couple in Fredericton and she has a new best feline friend, Miso, with whom to spend the rest of her life!  Congratulations to everyone!  Send pictures, Decimal - we will miss you!  You are one lucky little girl!!  Thanks to our friends at The Purrfect Cup for their friendship, care and kindness.  You all rock!!

"Ribbon" came to DunRoamin' on December 11, 2020 from a colony of dozens that was growing unchecked.  Ribbon was born about September 18, 2020 and is a beautiful little girl.  She was initially very timid, hiding under the nearest thing possible, but soon came around very well and is now one of the first to greet her new servants!  She is very affectionate and loves people.

Ribbon was underweight, dehydrated, had severe ear mites, fleas, conjunctivitis and ocular discharge as well as upper respiratory infection and gastro-intestinal parasites.  She was placed on medication to help her overcome all these maladies.  We hope she will be ready for a new home in late January of 2021.

It is our hope and wish that these kittens may be adopted in pairs, or at least to a home that already has feline family members as they have never been without other cats and appear to be very bonded to each other.

On January 16, 2021, Ribbon was SO excited to learn that she had been chosen along with her friend Neva (see below) to join the family of a very nice young lady from St Andre, NB.  She and Neva will be new cousins for former DunRoamin' kitties Summit and Petley!  Congratulations, everyone!!

"Neva" came to DunRoamin' on December 11, 2020 from a colony of dozens that was growing unchecked - they needed help.   Neva was born about July 11, 2020 and was emaciated, dehydrated, had ear mites, stomatitis, had missing and loose teeth, conjunctivitis and infected eyes.

Neva received all required medical care and is doing much better now.  She has a very rough and loud purr as a result of her bout with upper respiratory infection that makes her stand out from her friends - you can hear her purr long before you see her!  And she purrs a lot!  She is currently on medication for her upper respiratory infection.  On January 14, 2020, Neva underwent dental surgery to remove all her teeth which were in such bad shape and had a polyp removed from her soft palate which will make her SO much more comfortable and happy!

It is our hope and wish that these kittens may be adopted in pairs, or at least to a home that already has feline family members, as they have never been without other cats and appear to be very bonded to each other.

On January 16, 2021, we were elated to learn that Neva and Ribbon (see above) were invited to join the family of a very nice lady from St Andre, NB.  They will be cousins to Suit and Petley who were adopted by a family in 2020.  We are so grateful that these beautiful furballs get to have friends with whom to play, cuddle and grow up with.  Thank you SO much!  Congratulations to everyone!!

"Poupoune" came to DunRoamin' on November 28, 2020 with her sisters  Promise and Passion and their brother Phineas.  Born about September 18, 2020, they had been found all alone at the end of a driveway in Beechwood, NB and no one was able to take care of them.

Poupoune and her siblings were friendly, obviously having been around people before, but they had ear mites and gastro-intestinal parasites.  They also initially tested positive for Feline Leukemia.  They were segregated, then retested several weeks later at which time they tested negative, so they are 100% good to go!

All four kittens were fostered by our good friends in Bath, NB, where they learned kindness, love, compassion and good kitten skills.  They are now spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus and ready for new homes!  They are extremely cute and loving little furballs and it is our hope that they can be adopted in pairs since they have never been alone before.

On January 16, 2021, Poupoune was adopted by a very nice family in Beaconsfield where she will have a feline friend of her very own to keep company.  She is very grateful to her foster family for all their love and companionship - she's had a great start and will now have a wonderful life as well!

"Lily" came to us on December 15, 2020.  She and her friend Pewter were part of the Woodstock Community Cat Program which is a program set up and funded by the town of Woodstock to help spay and neuter unowned cats within the town limits to help decrease the ever-growing number of homeless and feral cats.  Do you know a cat who might qualify?  Please contact the town office!

Lily is a beautiful little girl.  Although living among these mostly-feral cats, Lily has obviously been around humans.  She is very friendly and loves people.  She hopes only for a home of her very own where she may live safely in a warm and loving environment - those nights are pretty cold, and it's just not safe out there.  She is extremely loving and will be the perfect companion.  Lily was born about March 26, 2020.

On January 12, 2021, Lily was adopted into a wonderful home in Woodstock where she is the new best friend of two young children.  Congratulations, Lily!  We know you are the purrfect fit for this family and you will bring each other years of friendship, love and joy!  Don't forget to write!

"Cassie" came to us on June 8, 2020, from the Arthurette area.  She was drastically overweight, had tartar on her teeth which required a cleaning and she also had fecal balls stuck to her back end as she was too large to groom herself.  Cassie had been professionally groomed to remove mats in her fur and she seems to be feeling better already.  Cassie was born about June 8, 2011.

Cassie is a sweet little girl.  She settled in with us with no trouble at all and enjoyed keeping Samuel and Gibbs company in our Reception area.  She is eating a prescribed diet to help her lose weight and become 100% healthy again.  She has begun her vaccine protocol and is eager to meet someone who is willing to cuddle her (she LOVES attention) and commit to her diet to help her reach and maintain a healthy weight.  She loves people, loves other cats and LOVES her new laser light.  She is a very sweet girl and this is the first day of the rest of her life - we'll make it purrfect, Cassie!  It'll take some work, but we'll get there together.  By the end of the year she had lost two pounds and is very proud of herself  -  so are we!

On January 12, 2021, Cassie met a lady from Harvey who could hardly believe what a beautiful little girl she is.  Cassie will now live with her and return here every few weeks for a weigh-in to determine how she is doing with her diet.  She is going to LOVE her new home and has a canine friend who loves cats.  You have it made, Cass!  Congratulations!  See you in a few weeks!

"Ginny" came to us on January 31, 2019 from the NB SPCA along with 17 other cats.  She was born about January 31, 2018.  Because Ginny came from a location where Feline Leukemia had been found in other cats, she was segregated and retested on March 18, 2019 to ensure she did not have that disease.  Her test showed that she was negative!  Congratulations!

Ginny is a beautiful tabby who cannot wait to have her own home.  She would like to have a home where she'll have a feline sister or brother, but she'll be grateful for any family who will love her the way she deserves to be loved!  In March 2020 she was invited to live in a foster home where she learned not to be as timid of people, thanks to the love, care and patience she received from her foster family.   As you can see by the photo below, she loves to lay in the sun!  She doesn't like changes in routine, but once she's settled in, she's all in!!  She is independent, but is also a big fan of belly rubs!

On the evening of January 8, 2021, Ginny met a young couple from Temperance Vale who invited her to join their family forever.  Thanks so much!  Send lots of photos, Ginny - your foster mom and dad will miss you terribly!  Happy New Year!  Congratulations!!

"Musette" and her friend "Sprite" came to DunRoamin' on November 14, 2020 from Lower Brighton where they were part of a colony of cats that was increasing in size.  She and her friends were facing a long, cold winter with no food or shelter.  Musette was born about May 31, 2020 and Sprite was born about July 14, 2020.  Musette was very friendly and loving and looked forward to a family as soon as she was spayed, vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites.

Musette had ear mites and her tail required amputation as it was injured and infected.  She was soon doing very well, especially since she was spoiled "just a little bit" with Temptations!  She would really like to be adopted with her friend Sprite - they're very close!  Sprite was very thin and timid upon her arrival, but thanks to her friend Musette, she slowly learned confidence and trust.  They are very close and it is our wish that they might be adopted together - Sprite seems to need to lean on Musette's confidence every once in a while.

On December 29, 2020, they went to spend some time with our friends at The Purrfect Cup.  We would like to thank them for all their support and love for our DunRoamin' Strays.  Check them out!!

On January 8, 2021, it was their pleasure to join the family of a young lady from Fredericton who had met them while at The Purrfect Cup.  She fell in love and knew she could/should not separate them.  They are now a loving family, and we are so grateful for their new home and life.  Please send lots of photos - we'll all miss them here at DunRoamin'.

"Cratchit" came to DunRoamin' on December 11, 2020 from Debec where he had been a stray who had been hanging around a home for about a year and a half.  He was currently not eating, had bloody feet and scaley, scabby skin on his back - he needed medical care and a warm place for the winter.  He was born about December 10, 2012, so was about eight years old.

Cratchit was examined by his new vet who determined he was underweight, required several of his infected teeth to be removed (perhaps why he was not eating), had ear mites, fleas, flea allergy dermatitis (allergic to fleas) and gastro-intestinal parasites. He also had dozens of birdshot pellets in him - he had obviously been shot at some time and most of the pellets had stayed in his body.  This must have been very traumatic and painful.

Cratchit was provided with pain medication and additional medications required to help him overcome his medical distress.  A month later, he is ready for a home where he hopes to spend the rest of his days indoors with a loving family to whom he can show his gratitude for saving his life.  His favourite place is up high, and he loves to sleep on the dryer!

On January 8, 2021, Cratchit was adopted by a young lady and her family who had fallen head over heels for him the first time they had met, and their affection grew stronger each and every day.  Cratchit now lives with his new family which includes two young children who are over the moon to have him join their family.  Congratulations, Cratchit!  Happy New Year and Happy New Life!
